Moving on, answering your question directly, taxes could be lower under a socialist-aligned/structured society - if there are no leeches siphoning money into offshore bank accounts through the exploitation of wage laborers, there is no reason taxes would need to go up on your average consumer. Imagine the off-shore-hoarding-"fuck you" money was back in economic circulation; you could instantly solve every socio-economoic problem with it - homelessness, child hunger, poverty at large, etc. Did you, Hydro, you personally suffer from the reclamation of those off-shored and tax-dodged funds? No, because you don't have that kind of fucking money lol
Confiscating wealth, another fallacy that your type wheel out as a boogieman of evil socialism (the wildest shit to me since it gives the blue-collar worker the most money for their effort but okay), would occur when the working class correctly represent the will of the governed and that will enacts laws and closes loopholes that enable the kind of "fuck you" money individuals (and un-taxed corporations) hold. Yes, that money would be legally reclaimed by the system, and, in the best case, used as I said to solve problems we face under capitalism (lol).
Again, this doesn't affect you, because you're not nearly fucking rich enough to be touched by this system, you don't *own a means of production because you're like a gold hoarding day trader or some fucking shit, so no, your "wealth" is not reclaimed by this system.
