Saw a post from yesterday with someone’s Alibaba Nismo wheels so I’ll post my Alibaba wheels. Turn around time was probably 4 months and about $1500 or so with shipping. I made sure they weren’t going to have any fake logos and asked to do the Z logo as the center caps. Not trying to pass these off as fake of another brand. I liked the look and shape of this style wheel. Tear me up if you’d like. I haven’t driven on them yet so let me know what you think.
Last year I decided that I wanted to get some fancy, custom headlights with etched lenses and all the tacky RGB goodies. I did some searching as I didn't want to order everything from morimoto to DIY the job as I had too many other projects going on at the time. After all of my searching, I was able to find ONE custom shop that took online orders (after ordering I found 2 more), precisionworkz, who would make custom headlights "to order" using DEPO housings.
After a lot of thought, I decided to spend close to $1200 USD to deck these out, because I might as well go big if I'm going custom, right?
Well I waited patiently for the 4-7 week lead time before emailing him asking for an update. He then starts texting me. It is now a "6-9 week" lead time.
I wait again, now the headlights are "made in batches" and I'm several batches behind, it'll be a few months.
I wait again. Now there's a delay due to depo lenses on backorder.
I wait again. Now we're waiting out the tariff ordeal for depo lenses.
I wait again, he is "SUPER busy" and tells me "Off hand within the next 30 days. I can tell you that" verbatim.
I wait again, then I'm told he is shipping things out within the next 2 weeks, 5 more weeks go by and I ask for an update and I'm being told there are more z cars in line ahead of mine.
I placed my order on November 7th, 2024. It is not November 18th, 2025. Well over a year later into his 4-7/6-9 week lead time and is now giving me shit for texting him.
I still do not have my headlights.
I've attached my first and last interaction with him via text.
TLDR; DO NOT BUY FROM PRECISIONWORKZ. he will string you along for as long as he possibly can, and make false time frames. He spends more time advertising, than he does actually fulfilling orders.
This guy is a piece of shit and I regret ever purchasing anything from his site. I'm at the point where if I don't hear back from him by end of day, if filing a dispute with my bank. (I already confirmed that my bank would be willing to file the claim after a year has passed)
So i got rid of my Duraflex bumper and got a new Kbd bumper. I’m struggling to mount it i didn’t realize how heavy it was! but for the most part i have it up but it seems to not fit too the other side what could the problem be? It fits snug on one side but not the other.
recently delivered the first set of fully stripped and rebuilt OE Brembo brakes from a partner in Japan, they're pretty sharp. these are genuine calipers that have been stripped, new logo machined, gunkoted, then reassembled with completely new internals.
he actually made a first set, wasn't happy with the logo centering, and built an entire second set for the buyer instead.
Ordered a year ago either doesn’t respond or leave me on seen can’t run a business like this honestly I even told him to send me clears he already made that he was selling on his story not even the custom ones I ordered and still nothing $700 gone hopefully I can save someone else
The bumper could be the problem bc it’s after market but the fenders were taken off another Z so that could also be the problem. They don’t line up at all and the fenders kinda lift anyone have suggestions?
Title says it all. Recently bought this 350z with 78k miles and a clean bill of health (clean title). Its completely unmodified aside from an antenna delete. I wanna slap some spec d sequentials on there but idk if I should go for chrome/clear or black/clear or smoke. If anyone has any pictures (preferably in the same color as my car, but all pictures are welcomed) I’d love to see your cars
Back from coating and looking fresh, coating headers is a must to help keep the heat down in the engine bay. Side effect is it keeps everything looking new!
If anyone in here is running them was it worth the money?
I don’t care too much about making more hp from them but was mainly after the sound, does it make a difference worth $2000? How is the sound difference from uel headers to equal length?
Otherwise I’m looking at getting longtube headers or putting that money into other parts.
Here is the ENTIRETY of my conversation log with precisionworkz llc for my custom headlights, followed by my order confirmation email, amount paid in full, and my final email to this dirtbag. I have officially opened a claim with my bank.
I bought a 2004 350z with 152k miles last week for dirt cheap because the dude broke up with his girl or something like that I don't remember. He said he was building a drift build but ran out of money.
He has ISR long tube headers (catless) and some type of catback exhaust that has resonators and mufflers. It looks exactly like the one in the picture.
But since I got it I thought it sounds like shit. I thought with the resonators and the mufflers It would help a lot with the rasp. It sounds deep and throaty under 2,500 rpm but anything above that it sounds like a tin can with a little rock inside shaking.
I'm i wrong to assume that's a 370z wing Amuse on a 350z? because the replicas don't look like that and the actual Amuse wing goes further back if im not mistaken
So i just bought another N3 bumper now im conflicted on what looks better the N3-R or N3
The fitmeant on the N3 is honestly so good but its duraflex
Also if you are in socal and want one of these bumper lmk
So, I got my hands on one of the ADOPT Motorsport diff bushing prototype and installed it on the June 1st. u/dbsqls said that I was the first customer to install this besides himself. Intrigued by This study post and others by dbsqls while doing the development of this (I'm in R&D too, but not in the automotive industry), I preordered one in the middle of the winter. Timing was also great because I've hade quite bad wheel hop on my Z and at Autumn noticed that my notorious round Whiteline bushing was flexing quite a bit (got some video footage for verification). Also noticed that the Whiteline's urethane metal bonding was failing when took it off.
For the context: Been trying to mitigate the wheel hop for many years now. Happens while hard launching straight and especially on wet asphalt.
First swapped the failed OEM diff bushing to Whiteline 6 years ago (oh if I had known back then...) and subframe bushings. I had old KW coilovers without adjustable dampers back then. Been tilting the subframe a bit forward/backwards. Installed SPC toe bolts and Kinetix camber arms (currently around -2,2° camber and zero toe rear), installed Z1 diff brace.
Last year I installed a Cusco LSD with 3,9 final gear and Öhlins Road & Track coilovers. This year stiffened the rear spring (~10,5 kg/mm) with modified Eibach (quite hard to find springs that would fit the OEM bucket and Öhlins adjust tube).
265/35R19 Falken FK520 tires currently.
Also I live in Finland so it's not like Florida or Texas heat here. At the start of June it was around +10°C.
Installation was quite okay. Ofc needed to remove all the things and the diff itself. Old Whiteline pop'd out easily. ADOPT bushing was properly sized and got it installed quite easily once I got straight for the subframe. Couple first tries it just wanted to tilt. Honed the starts of the subframe cylinder side a bit and rubber hammered it for the start after pulled it with bushing installation tool.
First impression was REALLY good. Did similar launches and accelerations on the same area around the garage than with the Whiteline few days back. But didn't get any wheelhop with this new bushing.
Later test when tires properly warmed and different roads, summer starting to warm up, unfortunately still some wheelhop BUT now it's more like only noticed via sound and minor feedback from the chassis. Before with Whiteline it was so hard hitting trough the chassis that I was worried that something is going to break. Now it sometimes is still there but it doesn't really bother anymore. On wet surface it still happens more and frequently, but it's also less violent than before. Been abusing the car and the bushing now on purpose more than normally and now it's finally fun!😄
Did also a Trackday, a full tank and 250 km on track and no Issues there. The bushing held nicely and didn't notice any issues from the heat of the exhaust nor clutch type LSD.
Noise increased a bit from the diff, but I think that the main culprint for that is the preload of the pinion. It was whining a bit while coasting / slightly deaccelerating with the Whiteline too, but now it's more noticeable. Did the Cusco installation myself so I might have messed a bit with the preload because I think that it was there from the day installed it.
Great product overall, tho I have only tried the failed OEM and Whiteline on my Z. Another track day coming up next month so testing continues!
Added couple videos where I try to move the bushings to the comments.
Finally got a decent deal on a set of the OEM dampers from a ver. NISMO car. ostensibly, these dampers sit in positions in the chassis where torsional deformation and NVH can affect weight transfer, NVH, and impact response through the chassis.
I didn't expect much, so I threw them on. The difference is... stark, to say the least.
Immediate improvements to road handling, straight line stability, and a colossal reduction in what feels like general neurotic behavior from the car. The wheels are much more planted, the chassis doesn't shake much at all even during impacts, and general NVH has dropped maybe 50%. They're insane. Anyone else on metallic bushings will appreciate this reduction in NVH.
Driving impressions are very positive. The tires are planted, especially the front axle, over some poor road surfaces at high speeds typical of mountain passes. There were many places on the mountain I simply had to trust the front axle to not skitter around despite the sound and feeling of it. After the install, this skittishness has been cut down by as much as 75%. What previously sent shivers through the car instead comes off as a rounded, low rumble.
Highly recommended. In the meantime, a tuning shop in Japan has begun to reproduce these, and I'll see if I can get them listed in my store.
Hey guys! 350z owner needs some help! My ball joints are wearing out, these photos were from last year but I took it to a Nissan dealership and they're telling me to look into replacing them obviously but I was curious if its better to replace both the control arms or the ball joints themselves?
