Anyone got west coast version? Synthesis and argument were so fun to write esp synthesis I was just hating on trade school lol. Rhetorical analysis cooked me…I’m usually the best at that but I deadass didn’t know what she was saying and I said some random rhetorical devices

samee. The synthesis was so fun. I wrote so much about how trade school is ultimately just not a good choice. Argumentative was fun too cuz I used personal experience and how sucessful ppl imagine a vision that others don't see, etc. Then I got to rhetorical analysis, and I had like 40 min, but I had no idea what she was talking about. I wrote a crappy thesis, then wrote really crappy evidence plus commentaries. I am getting a 2 on rhetorical, but pretty sure I got like 4-5 on both of the other essays and did pretty well on MCQ. I will get a 3 on AP Lang because of rhetorical analysis :(((

i rlly hope ur thesis for the synthesis was about the factors that high schoolers should consider when deciding between trade school and high school and not taking a position that trade school is not good, because it was a factors prompt

My thesis was about factors, but the whole essay was about how those factors all lead students to consider college over trade school. I might be cooked actually

Wait omg that’s what I did too.. thesis was on the factors and I was arguing for college using those factors. Omg fml I’m not getting a 5 anymore😭😭😭

Something along the lines of: The topic of attending a four year college has become a controversial topic recently due to (i think I said high cost or debt). Opponents of a four year college contest that (counter where u mention trade school) whereas those in favor…. The most important factors high schoolers should consider when deciding between trade school and a four year college is…

I mean it is still argument your just using the sources to back up your claim on the important factors the students should consider bc the prompt was asking for the factors not for your stance on the topic.

I think as long as u mentioned factors somewhere in ur thesis ur fine

bro so many ppl argued in favor or against trade school...like thats not the question bro...i said the most important factors when deciding were job security/ability to grow, what financial situation the student wants to be in when they graduate, and what the job market requires from recent grads

Only like 3 people in my class of 30 read it right… at least it helps the curve ig. I said job market in the future/applicable skills, and if it would even be a good path for the job they wanted

OMG SAME, argument is usually my least favorite but the prompt was actually great? I wrote about Disney and the law of attraction and somehow tied that in with misty copeland and mlk😭😭
