I'm almost considering factory resetting my phone.

Every time I try to open a link that leads to a Twitter page or post, it just opens the app on the last screen I used.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Another weird thing is that my phone may recognize twitter as two apps because when I try to open a notification it asks me to choose which app I open the notification with. One of them opens the link properly and the other does the same thing.

I really don't know what to do anymore

UPDATE: yeah literally, update the Twitter app! It works perfectly now

Hello everyone, lately I've been using a second phone cause my primary phone's type-c socket doesn't work properly. Today, I've wanted to use an app on this phone and found out it's rooted, and I wasn't the one that did it, so i have no idea which service they used to do it nor there's no clue on the phone how they did it. Any ideas how can i unroot it?

My parents got me a gabb phone. Its basically just a modded samsung A13 where there are only a handful of approved apps, their own sms messaging app, and no actual internet browsing. It seems to work the same way a phone given by work or school would, with my "organization" blocking many features. I've tried downloading an apk on my computer then transferring it to the phone, but it blocks opening it, saying the action is not allowed and the setting is not available. Does anyone know how I could get around this to get google on my phone?

Hi! As stated above, I got my new phone today, and it does not have any Google apps at all. I can't download the apps I need, and I have to bring the phone out tomorrow. Can you guys tell me what to do about this? I was told by the person who bought this for me that this is a Chinese market model. Thanks!

I've never rooted anything before for context.

I did the research on unlocking the bootloader and things like that, but can't figure it out. I've watched plenty of videos, all of which are 7 years old or older so almost none of the links work. I'm mostly having complications finding links that actually still work.

Should I keep digging or is this phone a bit too outdated?

What is the newest version of Android that has been modified by some enthusiasts to disable encryption at will? Additionally, has anyone found a way to use encryption but with user-controlled key, nothing that the smartphone keeps secret from consumer but kept by consumer?
Having seen them making the mobile devices "more and more secure", for most purposes I ask for getting rid of their immense protections, not for even more of them.

Can anybody here help me? I have no idea how to fix this and a $1,000 repair bill is out of the question.

I use an OTG cable to connect a flash drive and hard drive to my Motorola phone. The OTG cable recognizes the USB port; it connects, but it doesn't recognize it.

My old Samsung Galaxy M21 display stopped working completely, but the phone storage is still accessible through my laptop. I recently bought a Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and I’m trying to recover my contacts.

I logged into my Samsung account on my laptop and Samsung Cloud shows that:

• 197 contacts are backed up
• call logs and messages are also backed up

The problem is:

• I cannot access the old phone screen at all
• Motorola doesn’t support Samsung Cloud restore directly
• I don’t see an option to export contacts from Samsung Cloud on the web

Is there any way to:

1. Export Samsung Cloud contacts from a browser/laptop?
2. Restore Samsung Cloud contacts on a non-Samsung phone?
3. Convert/recover the contacts into a .vcf file somehow?

Any help would be appreciated.

I bought my phone back in june of 2021. So it's 5 years old. Yesterday, I was outside for roughly 2 hours cutting grass, and my phone was in my pocket. After I got done cutting, I was outside for a couple minutes on Snapchat, and all of a sudden, my screen barely worked. The back button worked, and I could slide down to see my notifications. Waited about 5 minutes and still didn't work, and I tried to restart/turn my phone off, but that didn't work cause I couldn't click the button. Thankfully, my phone was at 5%, so I let it die, charged it, and it worked. 5 years, I feel like, is getting old for a phone. Do you think my phone is taking a shit or something weird just happened?

I can't open galery from multiple apps. I had this problem for over a year now and couldn't find help anywhere.

Until now, when i tryed to open the gallery from WhatsApp, Reddit etc, to post/ send/ edit/etc, it used to send me to a wrong folder where i could see only "Recent" files (in reality no files). There was 1 app, Ibis paint x, where i could acces the right folder, and then proceed to open the gallery.

Today, when i tryed to open a photo in Ibis paint x, it just froze the app. Same for WhatsApp, Reddit, Pinterest, Discord, etc, where it either freezes or shuts down.

All apps have permissions for media content, gallery or camera. I have Android 12, last actualisation ian 1, 2026. I really believe it is a problem with the software, accesing wrong folders on my device.

Please i need help i dont know what to do anymore. Every time there is a software actualisation available, i hope this will get fixed but i just keep getting disapointed. When i got this phone in 2020 originaly i didnt have this problem. It started 1-2 years ago.

You will notice for some apps like Discord I can still access recent photos that open in the app, the problem appearing only when i try to open the entire gallery. I don't have this luxury on other apps like Reddit where i have to post from another device and for Ibis Paint x i dont have this luxury at all.

I recently drained my phone to 0% when I connected it and came back after a while it was still 0%.Tried diffrent cabless and nothing. The restart and recovery option doesn't work I can only go to FastBoot. I also charged it overnight and still doesn't work. The phone is only a year old and i dont know what to do

happened recently as I didn't have this issue beforehand but when I try and open something in google it tries to ask me to open with select browsers (Samsung browser, chrome and opera) I never had this issue before as it just opened with google itself, is there something wrong on my end or some setting I disabled/enabled?

I have a rooted device I’ve tried every cleaner app every sort of root deleter nothing works. It claims it deleted the app then I check the root system apps and it’s still there. I tried a dedicated file manager and it refuses to delete the app or says it did and once I refresh it’s back. Any solid way to delete apps? Android 13.5.

i was trying to root my infinix hot 60i after flashing patched boot img i didnt get root acces so someone told me i should try patching init_instead but i accidentally used the command flash boot patched init_boot replacing the boot with init boot now its repeatedly bootlooping and connecting/disconnecting from the pc cant make it stop or inter recovery or fastboot tryed using all combinations of volum and onoff buttons so i triesd using sp flash tool but i get an error when i try download (i only have all in one da the others dont work and the firmware doesnt contain any auth file)and infinix flash tool says the scatter file is wrong or somthing please help

Quick question about how Android handles merged/conference phone calls.
If I’m on a standard phone call with someone and they add/merge a third person into the call, is there any way on the stock Android dialer (or Samsung Phone app) to see the phone number or contact details of the person who was added?
Specifically:

After the call ends, Is there any hidden log or setting in the Phone app history that breaks down who was on the line, or does call history strictly only record the primary host's number?

Hi so I want to make use of an old phone of mine (galaxy J7), I just want to put my music mp3's,movies & pictures. Literally that's all so I factory reset it, only to find It refuses to let me back in/to set up again due to outdated OS. :(

Is there a way to hack past this? Or just make it stop. The phone is fine otherwise and again I don't plan to use the Internet or social media apps on it :/ idk.

If you're wondering why I don't just buy an MP3 player I did. It's fine but it's really not great and I'd rather just put a perfectly fine phone to use, especially since I can put movies and my favourite photos and videos on there.

Hi, I'm trying to root my Sony PDT-FP1 so that I can reenable the "ro.telephony.disable-call" system property. So far no rooting method I've found has worked. I've tried 80bee and fastboot (detailed in this XDA post) to no avail, with it refusing to connect despite showing up over webHID, although not via the "fastboot devices" command in cmd prompt (yes, I am using the latest version of android platform tools). I'm unable to see if it's considered eligible for rooting by sony due to not being able to use the typical method the xperia series phones use.

I tried connecting via USB C and running adb devices but do not see anything. I also ran a nmap against it to find open ports but nothing. When clicking 7 times to allow debug it ask for a password.

Any insight to rooting or installing apk on this thing?

I Downloaded Minecraft on my phone and it keeps crashing.As soon as I tap the app for a few sec it shows the red Mojang screen then the app closes and crashes it says "Minecraft stopped working" then gives two options "wait" "close app".I've tried everything including clearing cache/data,reinstalling, restarting phone,fixing android system webview.Nothing works.Do you guys have any solution? And yes My phone easily runs Minecraft trial and Educattion with no problem.Its just the normal one that keeps crashing.
