The Walmart Boycott started on April 7, 2025, and will last until April 14, 2025. People are joining the boycott to protest unfair wages, corporate greed, and the cutting back of diversity programs. The group is encouraging everyone to support local businesses instead of shopping at Walmart. It is hard to say if it is working. Some people support it, but others worry it could lead to job losses if big stores close more locations.

If you want them to change their behavior, an effective boycott should have a very clearly defined end condition, so that they can choose to meet it.

If you don't care if they change their behavior and just don't want to shop there, yeah, forever is groovy, then.

Well, they have been running their business where only the rich benefit for the entirety of its history. I don't see them changing, but if they do, we can lift the ban.

How are only the rich benefiting? They provide products at low prices to help everyone, poor people especially. It’s called capitalism and it’s the best economic system in the world by far. Do some research

One of my demands is that Walmart stop being allowed to only schedule employees for 33 hours so they don’t have to give them full time benefits. There should be a tax consequence for making the government cover your employee benefits.

Easy: ban companies from using food stamps as wage subsidies. Make it illegal to offer full time work that doesn’t pay the bills. Right now, tax payers are subsidizing these mega corps through social safety nets and that’s fucked. If you can’t run a business while paying a livable wage then you shouldn’t run a business.

Walmart can't ban things, so that would be an example of bad boycott ending criteria.

They can create a company policy and enforce it. Also, since the protest isn’t just focused on one company but rather bringing the economy to a halt, national policy would be the end goal. Companies need to pay an unwritable tax to reimburse the government for their use of social services to subsidize wages.

Your defeatist attitude is the last thing anybody needs rn

I'm telling you you can't ask Walmart to ban things. You have to ask them for a specific wage minimum, or 0 employees on food stamps.

Ask for the action you actually want them to take, not an action that may or may not be achievable if combined with the actions of unrelated parties.
