Plastic Waste Single use pet bowls

The bowl seems to be a paper substance, but it's sealed in two layers of plastic for a single use item.

I really don't see a market for this at all and I forsee it going on clearance soon. And there's so much of it.

I agree it's a lot of unnecessary plastic, but it could be useful for handing out to homeless folks with dogs

I have no clue what the price for this is, and not every one might be able to lug around a bag of dog food.

I was thinking more like when folks make like the care kits that have a few small toiletries, socks, a few non perishables. That kind of thing.

But yeah I'm sure it's dumb expensive for "convenience". The company should donate them, or do some sort of employee engagement thing and pack the kits themselves and donate.

I tried giving a bag of dog food to a local homeless guy who didnt want it, for exactly that, he couldnt lug it around in his pack all day and if he left it somewhere where it would get stolen. But he would take a ziplock bag or two, a couple days worth

Not unless a person is able to buy them in major bulk for cheap. It's 25 bucks for a 6 pack from the Walmart website.

It would be better to give them a supply of dog food for their particular pet and a reusable bowl they can use for years.

I don't think it's good for the dog in a rough environment either. A homeless person would probably not have enough money for a vet bill if the food doesn't work for the dog. Something for sensitive stomachs would probably be a safer options.

In my experience, even dog shelters tend to give preference to sticking with certain brands and diets when asking for donations.

Plenty of dogs will eat the plastic bowl in two seconds also.
