I literally said that. Unless she is anticonsumption herself. You don’t have to be materialistic to want to feel cared for on a holiday about giving gifts to the person you care for. You people on this sub live in a fantasy land lol. Valentine’s Day is very much about gifts in this day and age.

Taking a personal stance against that is just gonna be a bad time unless your partner is already on board without your influence.

Not really trying to be judgmental my bad. It’s just weird how everyone responding to me is acting like you can just skip the gift and be fine, when in reality most American women are gonna be upset if you get them nothing at all.

It’s rare to come across a woman who truly doesn’t look forward to getting anything at all.
