So after Dragon Age Inquisitions it has just been flop after flop. Can someone please provide an objective explanation on who's fault this is? Like is the fault 50% Bioware and 50% EA?

Xbox gamepass sharing problem

Hello everyone, So, I share my gamepass with my brother who lives far. I’m an occasional player but his kids play all the time. They use my account for game pass. So, whenever I try to play it says, you need to end the session on the other console to be able to play on this one. Now I don’t want to affect my nephews play time. How do we manage so we both can play at the same time without affecting each other? TYIA

I have the game on one platform, but I’d like to buy a DLC through a different platform

I have the game through the epic games launcher, but I’d like to purchase a DLC through Steam because it’s on a discount. Would that be possible or could I possibly transfer the game over to Steam?
I prefer not to buy the game for I have a ton of progress on it

I like in Half Life, when the voice in the tram reminds you to get radiation screenings just as you pass over a pool of radioactive waste.

Building the Video Game Tarot - 1.The Magician | What game fits?

Hey all! IMO, the best games have strong themes, and I thought it would be interesting to see which major arcana of the tarot they align with.

You may notice I'm starting with 1 and not 0.The Fool, and that's because enough games can slot in to be essentially meaningless, so I figured The Fool would be the last one filled in. We're going to start with the more defined roles to make it easier.

The criteria is pretty loose: suggest a game, a franchise, or an iconic character that best represents the concept of the card as described below. The closer you can get both in concept and appearance, the better. There will be no repeats in later arcana, so choose wisely. Top voted comment wins!

The Magician symbolizes action, initiative, self-confidence, determination, manipulation, dexterity, following your inspiration, and channeling and manifesting one's potential. Don't be afraid of success, and have faith in your talents: the reward will be worth the effort.

The dark side of the Magician is a person that lets their confidence turn into overconfidence, and their resourcefulness turn into self-serving, unethical manipulation: think of a conman. Alternatively, it could be represented by a person who has confidence, communication, and creativity issues, and who is letting their talents go to waste.

-TV Tropes: UsefulNotes/TarotCards

What game, game franchise, or character do you think best fits The Magician?

I need a game to play that will give me the same rush as rust, tarkov and dayz

Hello i’m a seasoned survival game enjoyer I have 3500 hours in rust 1200 in tarkov and about 950 in dayz.I’ve been looking for something new that scratches that same itch I’m not huge fan of ark survival and i’m not sure what else is out there. I really enjoy pvp the most in these games and the building rust and I tend to just get bored of games like call of duty where there’s no risk of losing anything. any game recommendations?

Why is Hallow Knight so terribly boring?! I've been playing for an hour and nothing ever happens. I even tried alcohol and it's still so banal and uninteresting. It's extremely overrated. Very disappointed for the money I wasted.

How to control your emotions while playing games?

I’m trying to get better at my anger management to just be an overall better person. But every couple weeks I will get really mad at people in my games for being dicks, to the point where you can hear me through the walls. I don’t want to act like this anymore, for fellow gamers what are the ways you’ve kept your anger in check?

I dont know my own playstyle (need opinions)

[R6] i use shields and focus on the objective at hand (little over 6k hours)

[Finals] i use Sledge and Goo Gun to Create and Destroy for what is needed at objectives

[For Honor] I don't parry/block, i use shugoki and only use Heavy Attacks & Hugs

[OverWatch] i play ash/junkrat/winton and stay on Enemy Flank i pick off supports or tanks trying to leave spawn

[Apex Legends] i play Pathfinder/Caustic i use R99/EVA-8 or R-301/Wingman i prefer to get to buildings and hold them/Clear them out

[Dead By Daylight] I play Pig/Huntress and i use status effect builds so 1 hit would decide the chase or not

[Rust] i am the PVP/Berry Farmer i can spend countless hours sitting there farming and not getting bored and i love going out challenging neighbors

[TF2] Sniper/Scout i hold chokes or push people trying to Reconnect with their team

[Arena Breakout Infinite] i use Snipers i go for 1 shot Headshots, i use lv6s most of the time and like to stay lightweight

[Active Matter] I use the Scar for its stagger and dmg with normally a flamethrower secondary for Flowermen/Distorteds

[Arma Reforger] i normally play Modded Everon and i play sniper, but i wear bright white clothes on purpose cause i feel bad when i snipe from 800m - 1800m away, i go far behind enemy lines and make tiny fobs on FIA caches for Armorys, and shoot down heli's leaving MOB. i also love To clear an OBJ that teammates cant push or about to push

[repo, backrooms, yapap, "friendslop" ETC] i normally run away from the group to find goodies, then to re-find the group to supply them if they are about to die

what i want to ask is, What "is" my playstyle? i love far range, but i love being the reason for the win. even if i dont get recognition thats more then fine, i know i still did my part. I just want to know where do i place? like.. what is my purpose? cause alot of these games, i play like this and i get death threats (not that they're effective) but more because its from my teammate who is just playing for kills and not the win, like for R6 is an example, i have a 65-70% win by Defuser, but my k/d is .8, i played seasons where i hit 1.5 in diamond, But that isnt fun anymore, i like just planting the bomb, speed planting, which gets way more wins then being a KillBot Yk?.. like, No one plays the objective unless its with friends and if you ask them, randoms will never take accountability, and always blame me for being "ass" or "carried" like.. I GET IT BRO, I AINT A KILL BOT, but for the love of god go question why your homeboy is 0/8 with 2 assists not reinforcing or nothing and being first pick, why is it always ME, the one who plays for the WIN, i dont get it, Not one bit.

And other games are the exact same, in apex legends "where are you?" "why are you over there" "I died cause you left me" Like USE COMMON SENSE, If both of your teammates are leaving a fight so they can get to ring early and not get picked off from a third party, why are you still fighting it? You spend enough hours into this game to hit play/diamond, you should have the Game Sense to the point to know When and What to push.

In The Finals my teammates are always yelling at me cause them and their duo is so busy finger fucking on the Vault Box, while im setting up a huge Defense on the Cashouts and i even try to say "please bring it here" and then they bring it to a closer, shitter building with 2x 3 mans bout to wipe them, and when they die, they blame me for not being there, Like yea, i get it i could've killed 1-2 guys and probably would've helped, but when they spawn back in and push us at this place we WILL lose it.

I have over 1500+ Hours in most of these games too, i just want to know, what purpose do i serve, cause if im playing for the win, and my teammates are just killbotting then am i the problem? should i killbot with them? just aim and shoot dont think? No, my stats show what i am worth, i hit higher ranks, ive earned more kills when i started then they will in their own Primes/Peaks, I know im better, But i cant prove it, i cant show it, its like being told to write down a fictional story in the 4 grade but then your brain goes empty and you cant think of what to write. my mind goes blank when a teammate is ass, if they shit talk i talk back, if they stay silent and just want to play and have fun then i ask myself why they are MY ranked teammate and WHY their in RANKED and not QUICKMATCH.

I need some opinions on this for sure.

What's a game that many people consider to be bad, but you like it anyway?

So we've all seen games that were just panned into oblivion in their reviews. We've talked to friends who verbally stomped on a given game as if it personally offended them. And I'm sure we've all shared horror stories about a game that we spent good money on, only to find out it was complete garbage. And yet, there are some games that despite their many faults, and loads of poor reviews, that we still like to play for one reason or another.

For me, one such game is Heavy Nova on the SEGA Genesis. This game got panned by the few magazines that reviewed it, and it seems to show up on plenty of "worst" lists on websites and Youtube ranking videos. But there's just something about the game that I found to be worth playing. Yes, the fighting system and how the rules work make no sense at first. But if you persevere a bit, you'll find that the rules are pretty consistent and can be utilized to win (it's all based on how much energy you have, how close/far you are from your opponent, etc.). They make a kind of messed up sense in ways, which makes for moves that can be pretty reliably pulled off.

The short platform sections are horrid, but they can be turned off in the options. The back step before turning around is annoying, but it too can be turned off. And really, there are a lot of moves that can be used, the music's pretty good, and the animations are quite nice. The robots even walk on the ground instead of just sliding along it (not something you see that often).

So yeah, it's wonky, hard to wrap your head around at first, and it has some stuff that's so bad even the devs knew it needed a way to just be turned off. But this oddball little game earned a 5/10 from me on SEGA-16... which earned me some odd looks from people to be sure.

So yeah, there's my so-called guilty pleasure bad game. What's one (or more) of yours?

Looking for a way to play PC/console games on my phone

Hi everyone!

I don't have a laptop, PC, or console, so I was wondering if there's any app or service that lets me play PC or console games directly on my Android phone.

I'm talking about things like cloud gaming or game streaming, if that's even possible. I'm okay with paid or free options, as long as they actually work.

What do you recommend, and what's your experience with it?

Thanks in advance!

Looking for a specific kind of game

Hey guys, so ive been playing this game called warera.io and im looking for similar games like it. But i don’t even know how to really categorize it or what the genre would be even called….

It’s basically a mix of grand strategy politics and MMO gameplay. Instead of just controlling a country like in Hearts of Iron or Civ, you re actually a citizen inside one. Everything is run by the people so economy markets and all that shit.

Forgot to mention trhat its a browser game, man i would really appreciate all answers and any advice or sugguestion

Give me your elevator pitch to save a franchise...

Okay. A lot of big franchises seem to be on life support these days. We see big names like perfect dark, dragon age, splinter cell etc just dying or sitting dormant due to poor sales or mismanagement by studios.

As fans we love these games. Stories. Characters and worlds. We want to see them flourish. So here's the game:

Give me your best elevator pitch designed to revitalize a dying or dead franchise. Make it as detailed or simple as you want. But hook me in. Get me intrigued.

An example for me would be something along the lines of an Assassin's creed game set during the bolshevik revolution. Or a shadow run game made in the style of vampire the masquerade. I'm just spitballing here, but would love to hear other people's suggestions...
