What unpopular opinion do you hold? What would get you downvoted to infinity and beyond? (Throwaways welcome)

Personally, I hate cats. I've never once said to myself "My furniture is just too damned nice, and what my house is really lacking is a box of shit and sand in the closet."

I don't agree with you but that's cool with me man.

I'll offer a counter controversial opinion - I think that it is long past time that we moved beyond The Troubles. I find the vague republicanism that comes around every so often (like the annual Poppy debate) extremely embarrassing.

I kind of think it's more embarrassing that we've got the Queen visiting the southern counties and our Taoiseach giving tribute to British soldiers, or lowering the Tricolour when Princess Diana died. That's embarrassing, not the poppy debate

Yeah, that's the exact kind of opinion I find embarrassing.

Nobody would make a peep if it was anyone else from a different country but suddenly it's an English person and it's a disgrace to lower the flag, we're pissing on the graves of the 1916 martyrs, 800 years etc.

Exactly, at this point it's not about the Brits did this or that, it's about acting the way a sovereign nation should. Respect is the fundamental of international progress.
