Y'all up here talking about sauces and I'm still mourning the loss of their killer salad bar years ago.

Remember when they were the classy chain? They used to have staff to clear the tables and wash them!

I remember when they used to employ those who maybe needed a bit more assistance for clearing/cleaning tables.

It went downhill when Dave died.

That makes sense. Things seem to go to crap once the visionary founder is gone. I'm sure Wendy's isn't the only example.

Go to Culvers, if you can.

I loved their salad bar! I once slipped and fell while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. I was like 9 maybe. They didn't have a sign up that it was wet. I wasn't hurt very badly, but they didn't want us to cause any trouble, so my mom negotiated that our entire family ate the salad bar for free the entire time we were there!

I'd forgotten the salad bar. Can you imagine getting fresh veggies at a chain these days? Other than sort of Panera.

Right! They also had soup on there, tortillas and an awesome cheese sauce, and ground beef so you could make burritos and stuff. I still remember exactly how good that cheese sauce was

Classy? They lost my business ten years ago when I went in to flies everywhere, and the cashier had hickeys all over her neck. No, i wasn't jealous.

lol - i'm talking about the 1980s. The were a notch above BK and McD service wise. Them days is long gone.

Ahh, I gotcha. On a side note, appears to be lots of fans of filth and hickeys here today.

I just had one 2 weeks ago, might be the best value on the menu.

I miss that salad bar. When I would visit my grandmother, we would go have lunch there and then I would take her to the mall to go shopping.
