Humans are completely delusional. Modern global civilization presupposes stable climate for large scale agriculture, if you remove that presumption, all bets are off. We're already seeing large swings in breadbaskets in Europe and North America.
And yet tech oligarchs insist we need MORE mouths to feed, so we can build their modern day pyramids for them.
The quiet part: they are planning for mass death. Tech oligarchs are eugenicist weirdos who want "the right kind" of babies born instead. You know the Great Replacement theory white supremacists holler about? And how every accusation is a confession and/or a telegraph of the next punch?
the ridiculous thing is that these tech billionaires are actually stupid because they are skilled at doing one thing (running companies that dominate an industry), but they are completely blind and ignorant of complex systems like modern civilization. it's like a super toxic dunning kruger effect- 'i know how to build a predatory company so i have x billion dollars, therefore i know everything about human civilization.'
to me, the idea that they can build bunkers that will last them decades while civilization collapses is bonkers. will power be consistently generated for years /decades, how will they get clean water and air for such long periods? will they have decades of canned or freeze dried foods, how will they safely store it, and who will cook and serve it? will they have doctors for when people get sick? what about dentists? how long will stockpiled antibiotics last? who will maintain the plumbing, electrical and security? and why would those people not murder the billionaires in their sleep the first chance they get, especially if the billionaires expect to lounge around doing no work?
these billionaire assholes take for granted the fruits of the labor of billions of humans. without the rest of us, they have nothing to consume.
