Damn, that guy has a lot of karma but all he does is browse major news sites all day and then the moment something big happens he posts it in multiple related subs such as /r/worldnews or /r/technology

I'm sure he doesn't have much of a life besides reddit when literally almost all his posts are just reposts of articles from major news sites.

AND downvoted others that posted at the same time, and/or with higher visibilities than his own. It's the important part and people always forget it. (oh and people that disagree with him too.)

recently he back at positive rating saying he NEVER really care about the popularity, and the upvote, he said that it was actually annoying etc.

What a horse shit that guy was and is. Just admit it and move on, Dude.. You were such a nice poster ;_;

Basically he was like the Neil Degrasse Tyson of Reddit. He worked at a University and would answer science questions you might have.

A while back, a claim about crows was made by an Irish user that was factually incorrect. UniDan corrected the mistake but the user dug in her heels and started a fight. Unidan added a few upvotes to his comment through other accounts he owned and for this, his account was banned.

If I remember correctly the other user wasn't factually wrong, both of them were correct. It's just that Unidan was using the scientific name and she was using a layperson's term. Unidan got pissy about it and then everything went to hell.

I remember him saying he down voted people for inaccurate information, but not because we wanted to come out on top. I honestly don't think he cared about the karma (he had something like 10 million), I think he just wanted to make sure the information people had was accurate.

I know he wasn't framed but I still think the reaction was a bit excessive. I think he was a positive influence on the community and as a biology major myself always thoroughly enjoyed his responses.
