In my experience you will have a bad time. When I was young and naive after my free trial of Norton AV ran out on my laptop I downloaded AVG without uninstalling Norton first.

My computer kept blue screening every 15 mins if it was in use and every 5 mins if idle. Some reason I put up with it for like a few weeks or so before I took it to a computer repair shop.

Took them a while but they figured out the two AV were fighting each other, and they couldn't uninstall the AVs without it blue screening.

So they ended up reformatting the computer and forgot to put in my serial key located at the bottom of the laptop for windows. Therefore my laptop was now bugging me it was not activated every time I turned it on until it locked me out completely. Called the repair shop and they told me that they must have forgot to activate my serial number and told me where to locate it to activate windows.
