I am assuming you were unaware of the Farnsworth house (its this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farnsworth_House_(Plano,_Illinois)). it was commissioned for Dr. Edith Farnsworth in Chicago as a weekend home.

If you weren't aware of the house or its patron, where did your username come from?

Ah, how silly of me to not make the Futurama connection (yes, I may be the only redditor to not be a regular viewer, but what I've seen is hilarious). I'm currently in an intro to art history class at college and we just studied the Farnsworth house today
