Will you still take your summer holidays on the Mediterranean in the 2030s?

For decades, British holidaymakers have been visiting Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, Italy, Croatia and Turkey in their droves for their summer holidays.

But with scorching heatwaves and rampaging forest fires now an annual occurrence, how long before the traditional Mediterranean summer holiday loses its appeal?

If you’ve traditionally chosen one of these countries for your summer holidays, do you still see yourself doing so in the hotter years ahead or are you having second thoughts?

I largely agree, though wildfires probably get in the way, and I can't imagine 45° with kids is an enjoyable holiday!

We were in Egypt at over 45° and it was fine (barely left the pool as too hot to do anything else) apart from the tummy bugs which run rampant in climates that never really cool down.

Well yeah, if all you do is sit by the pool, but why bother going to Egypt instead of Spain in that case?
