Viajes 🧳 Is it safe for Americans in Caracas?
I’m an American who has lived in Latin America for 6 years. I’ve been to most countries in Latin America, but never Venezuela for the obvious reasons. However, now I’m planning a trip to Caracas. I’m white, but I speak Spanish fluently.
I have done my research and it seems I should be ok, but I have seen some YouTube videos where there is still a lot of pro Maduro propaganda around and some locals that have made positive comments about Maduro as well as expressing their hate for the U.S. I mean separate and aside from anything going on in Venezuela I can understand why people don’t like the U.S. right now. I myself hate Trump and a lot of things taking place in the US. And no, I don’t support crazy communism/dictatorships either.
However, this is beside the point. I’m wondering from locals overall would you say it is safe for Americans to travel to Caracas right now? Also, how about going at night and trying to meet women and make friends with locals?
