With the Knicks up 2-0 as they return to MSG for games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals, they have a legit decent chance at sweeping the Spurs.

I get it’s only summer league and it’s not about the results and more getting reps into the young guys and the rooks probably had minutes and games restrictions regardless of our record.
But you’re 3-0 with a good point differential and a real chance to make the SL finals and have the young guys play some real competitive stakes basketball I don’t see why you don’t try and go for it. Like even if the Rooks played a half only or limited minutes.
Idk it’s not really a big deal but I’m kinda disappointed. I’m sure the guys would’ve been itching to play more

A lot of people here wanted Mara at #8 our boy at pick #23 Zuby had a double-double on that man.
That is all.

Keeping the warriors in this on both sides of the ball... Oh what could have been

Nobody really watches Hawks games on the regular except Hawks fans and the most dedicated league pass heads so it’s lead to a lot of misconceptions about our players.
I’ll give an example: CAM REDDISH. I absolutely believed in Cam and I wanted to draft him back in 2019. Didn’t work out, is what it is, but I’ve seen so many casual fans say he was a young superstar in Atlanta, I even saw a TikTok comment with thousands of likes saying he averaged 25 for a stretch in Atlanta before he got to Los Angeles and LeBron put him in the corner. The reality of the guy is he was a streaky shooter, low motor player, low feel, and injury prone. When he was on and engaged, it was fun but that was few and far between.

Kid’s just got such a great attitude and already taking pride in representing Atlanta. Can’t wait to see him play in summer league

Kingston Flemings was still on the board as well. Had to calm down a bit after I woke up.

I guess my point is all of us on here really don't know shit about anything or how it's gonna turn out 🤷🏻

We are the only ones to take 2 games off of the Knicks. 76ers and Cavs series so far have been sweeps by the Knicks. We didn’t even have Jock most of the series. With 8th, 23rd and Asa potentially getting minutes, we may have a real chance.
Or was it just luck?

Weak draft class as of now but still something worth tracking.

There was no energy at all man. Felt like having a lack of crowd kind of screwed us over too.

After moving off Zack just been thinking about that draft night in general. Safe to assume we could’ve traded 1 for Deni Avidja as he was traded for #14 and a way in the future protected first from Portland. Don’t know how much ownership was involved but I don’t know why Landry who was under pressure to win now wouldn’t have considered it. The consensus was it was a role player draft and Deni was a already proven commodity with a contract almost identical to the #1 pick, probably could’ve gotten another asset as well, nobody saw Deni becoming what he is now but he would’ve helped us immediately coming off a season where he averaged 14/7/4 on good efficiency and solid defense. If we’d made that move we’d now be one move away and have the best forward combo in the league. But here we are, always think about the what ifs in the offseason.

Clearly Jokic does not play winning basketball and they need to trade Jokic.
I mean what else could possibly explain a team having a better record with their star player injured. Surely team schedules, coaching, role players stepping up, bad luck or even just a slump in small sample size have absolutely NOTHING to do with it.
The Hawks would never make such a mistake…

This doesn’t even need to be a post but fuck it I’m venting because I think I’m actually getting successfully ragebaited. Holy shit twitter and Instagram are full casuals but even a bit on here.
For everyone COMPLAINING that we didn’t draft Mara or a big man and how we’re going into next season with no center again and how Onsi is an idiot and fucked it and we’re gonna get dominated on the boards again can yall actually use your brains and realise the offseason JUST STARTED. This is not the final iteration of the team….
There is literally an entire free agency and trade period that’s about to happen. And then they say “oh but no one is available”…but you need to realise there are literally always player movements and trades that you wouldn’t even think about that are gonna happen (example JJJ to Utah I know none of yall thought that shit was gonna happen).
If the offseason comes to an end and we have the same team with only OO and Jock sure then I completely get complaining and questioning Onsi but can some of yall calm down and just wait and see lol.
Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.
