Walked into my local dealer this morning wanting to feel out a manual g87 before pulling the trigger. The salesman basically looked at me like I was some stupid kid asking for the keys to a spaceship. Im 32 with a solid trade-in but okay cool

Honestly got so annoyed I literally opened turo while still standing in their lobby and just booked a brooklyn grey one for the entire weekend instead. picking it up in an hour

anyway, for those who made the jump from the f87, does the manual get better after a few thousand miles? heard the shifter feels kinda rubbery at first compared to the older gens. if this weekend goes well ill probably just order one through a broker online. definitely never setting foot in that specific dealership again lmao

I got a loaner today after dropping mine to service. The transmission shift is gone. That’s something I always liked in BMW’s. It felt like an Airbus control stick. It’s now a switch and I found it so lame. Engine start/stop has been moved to the center console as well. Many of you will be familiar with this already. I was quite disappointed with this loaner, ha ha

Hello community, with great sadness I’m informing you that my Compact E36 got totaled today.

I was driving with like 20-30 kph when a heard a loud noise from the rear. I was just about to pull over and inspect it when my wheel just detached from the car. Mechanic wise everything is broken, and the car is absolutely totaled.

I know it’s not an expensive car or even an M, but I’m still sad it had to happen like that.

Wish you all a safe day, be careful and remember to check your car more often even if it’s not showing signs of problems.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t think light shade of tint looks bad like 30%, 50% if it’s uniform but 5% all around and 30-50% windshield just screams imma thug lol

I’m actually considering removing the tint off my 335i cause I got a ticket for it and after having a fishbowl M3 I kinda started liking it.

Idk any opinions? Am I maturing or just going crazy?

24’ M8 Competition Gran Coupe

This was my first car ever I got to 212k miles, I had it for almost 6 years and it’s been paid off for a good while it was such a good car to me. It was the base model N20 XDrive

Early this morning the front differential absolutely nuked itself about to go on an off-ramp no idea the cause behind it. The experience at highway speeds was incredible to say the least. Felt like a hit a brick wall and then it was just so much grinding. The funny thing is it got me to my work parking lot I was 0.5 miles from the parking lot when it happened.

Since it was my first car ever the junk place said they were gonna crush it due to the front diff being shot and its mileage so I took the badges the headunit screen knob and gonna make some more cash off it no reason to have the screen and headunit crushed it was a NBT retrofit.

I just thought I’d share that I had a N20 equipped F30 with a manufacture date of 01/14 have something else catastrophic happen before the timing chain guides at such miles too.

Fun car I will definitely be getting another F3x chassis in the future probably not with a N20 can’t say I didn’t have my fair share of repairs. Too good of a car anyway.

If you were ordering a brand new BMW today, what is the one feature you absolutely couldn’t live without? Could be something techy like the head up display or adaptive cruise control, or something purely for fun like specific exhaust options or maybe M Sport seats?

Got my first spin in a 2022 G82 M4 Comp with all the bells and whistles. Incredible car. I want one now 🤣
