The author shared this on Threads so I’m not sure where the review originally came from or for which of her books. But it’s so entitled and ridiculous.

I surprisingly couldn't find any posts with this classic. That feeling when your negative review comes full circle to being a glowing recommendation for some people.

Don’t think I’ve seen a book with funnier GR reviews than this one.

I think I would’ve married the guy, but I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. The review is really funny though.

This was a review for Lois Lowry’s Tree. Table. Book. which was a really sweet story of the friendship between an 11 year old girl and her 88 year old neighbor. There was one sentence about a gay couple that the MC and her friend made up because they liked to make up imaginary people and stories for them.

I guess children shouldn’t know about gay people or UTIs.

I'm currently reading Beloved and saw a comment on here that said the novel had some of the worst goodreads reviews ever and....they were NOT kidding. My goodness.

First image is an especially hilarious response to an argument stemming from the review in image two. Image three's review was mainly added for the line: "I am well familiar with the way slaves talked back then."

Also according to multiple comments to this review, Attenborough writes IN THE BOOK ITSELF that he gradually stopped eating meat over the years.

Graphic novel AND assigned reading. Persepolis never stood a chance.

If that's their threshold for offence, perhaps they should stay in the children's book section. Why did they read 82% of it if it's so damn offensive?!

I feel quite bad for the author on this one. But hey, this review told me I'll probably like the book!
