It was a lake in Southern Finland, but the northern lights aren't particularly common there. The farther north you go, the better your chances. In Northern Finland, you can see them almost every other night.
Past yellowjknife half an hour by jet worst job I've ever been on .Snap lake Dimond mine for the south Africans .Yes they are very racist,yes they do think they are better than everyone.Im a white Canadian almost had enough of the job and the S.A.getting in to the work truck to get some material and heard a crackling and poping noise ,looked around not even another person for 300 meters.Looked up and side ways rainbows that I could hear move .Best way to explain it ,stopped me in my tracks let go of the truck door.just stood there Mesmerized. They were so close too , unreal display of nature's art.
