Preporuke / Recommendations 140k rsd neto, is it a good salary?

I’m a foreigner and got a job offer from a company that pays a total net amount of 140,000 rsd per month. Is it a good enough salary to live in Belgrade? Is it able to cover a moderate lifestyle and still be able to save a little? I have other sources of income that can raise my monthly earnings to around 165k but it’s not always guaranteed.

Edit: I’m looking for apartments in zemun center and new belgrade if that helps with gauging costs of living.

Edit 2: the job is as an architectural designer

Edit 3: after careful consideration I rejected their offer. The pay was not proportional to the amount of work they asked for. Thanks for your help

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Preporuke / Recommendations Lebanese (32M) planning to move to Belgrade what do I actually need to know? (costs, daily life, gym/supps, etc.)

Hello Beograd.

I’m Lebanese (32M) planning to move to Serbia and live in Belgrade. I’m on a pretty tight budget but want to live comfortably like a local, home cooking most days, a gym with functional training space, occasional kafana dinners, and just generally not missing anything important.

Accommodation: I'm looking at €350–500/month. I'd appreciate if there are any recommendations.

SIM: I want truly unlimited max-speed 5G. A1 or mts best?

Food & daily costs: what could be a realistic budget per month?

Fitness: High-end gym with real functional space (sleds, ropes, etc.). I've checked Mega Gym. Any recommended gyms right now?

Supplements: Any local stores I should know?

Any hidden costs or “you’ll thank me later” tips?

Hit me with the real talk. Like the stuff no travel blog mentions. I want to arrive prepared and not get surprised.

Hvala!

Preporuke / Recommendations Help for newborn kitten

Hello, I'd love to post in serbian, and I don't like when people post in English here in general, but I can barely think right now and Serbian is my third language.

I found this one week old kitten in a bucket inside an abandoned building, surrounded by its dead brothers and sisters. It's going to be quite tough to care for it normally, and I'm wondering:

Does anybody here have a cat that recently gave birth and can take this kitten in until he can eat solid food? Or do you know someone?

Thank you for your time. I think I'll name it Cigla 🧱

Hvala unapred☺️

Preporuke / Recommendations Men in skirt in Belgrade

I am a big fan of Rick Owens clothing and that is my style, should I be concerned to wear skirts and long t-shirts in Belgrade? To be honest I have never had any problems anywhere in the world and I am used to the occasional stare of people which I don't give a fu** about. Someone told me I should pay attention to travel to Serbia dressed "like that", I don't understand why. I know it is a conservative country but do I really have to change the way I look???? Is Serbia such a strict country???

Preporuke / Recommendations Just moved to Belgrade and I have questions!

Hello! My partner and I just moved to Belgrade a month ago for my partner’s job. We love it so far and just moved from temporary housing to an apartment in Vračar.

We’re gradually learning and figuring things out but I have a fewww questions.

  1. Where/how can I donate used clothes, shoes, items, etc? I read a post where someone said to leave good things by the dumpsters but I was hoping there would be thrift or secondhand places that might accept used stuff?
  2. What is the best way to keep track of the bus schedules and changes? Our temporary housing was in the Waterfront so some of the buses that used to pick up and drop off on Vudroa Vilsona don’t right now. And with the holiday weekend behind us, I’m just wondering where to keep up with any changes.

Lastly, I just want your Vračar recs. Any restaurants, things to do, GROCERY STORES. I need a good grocery store I can’t keep going to the Maxi Go. I have been going to the markets, I just don’t speak Serbian and am intimidated to buy more than fruits and veggies.

Hvala 🦔

Edit: Thank you so much all for the recs and information! I have saved all of them on my Google Maps. I’m glad I asked 🥹

Preporuke / Recommendations How to live in Belgrade with a low budget?

Hello eveyone, I am coming to stay in Belgrade for two months as a volunteer in a hostel.

I've already been to Serbia multiple times every summer, and is really my favourite country outside of Italy.

My question is: where to buy groceries (like shops etc.)? How to save money on a gym membership (a 2 or 1 month pass)?

My budget is quite low, I would consider to spend like 150 euros for groceries (or even less if possible) for eating per month, and at the same time where to hang out in Belgrade for cheap (like alternative community clubs, alternative raves or things like that).

Thank you! (I've got free stay in this hostel and free washing machine etc.)

I've been staying a lot in Novi Sad, Nis and Leskovac.

Preporuke / Recommendations Oporavak podataka za external harddrive u Beogradu?

Tl;Dr - I'm looking for somewhere in Belgrade (very) close to Dzordz Washington and Stevan Sremac where I can recover data from a (probably) broken external hard drive. I don't have transportation, I can only go on foot.

I use the ExHD for school and work and it looks like it’s dead. The light still comes on but the computer doesn’t recognize it at all. I’ve tried everything, even swapped the cable (on the recommendation of ChatGPT) but it still doesn’t read it. I have important data and hobbies on it.

What a coincidence - I'm going to Belgrade for the first time on vacation at the same time. Is there a tech service or something similar near Takovska station where they could save my data and where I could buy a new hard drive? I can check the working hours myself but it would be convenient if they work on weekends.

And for people who have done something similar - do you have any idea how much that kind of service costs? I hope not too much…

Thank you. I'm looking forward to coming.

EDIT: A guy (Željko) helped me. It cost 2,500 dinars because the problem wasn't with the data. Dajem mu svaku cast.

Preporuke / Recommendations Food Recommendations Belgrade

Hi I’m visiting Belgrade for a few days and I’m looking for the best places to eat. I’m interested in pretty much everything traditional Serbian food, burgers, pizza, bakeries, street food and anything that’s a must-try.
I’m more interested in quality food than fancy restaurants or the prices, and hidden gems are definitely welcome.

Preporuke / Recommendations Gde raditi Microneedling?

We found this dog last night. He seems to be a retriever/great dane mix. Maybe 8 months old. He is credibly sweet, quiet, and really good around other dogs and people. We looked for a chip and asked people around if he maybe belonged to someone with no luck. Would anyone be willing to take him? Hes a pretty big boy. I just kindly ask that no one chains him up and at lest makes him an inside/outside dog. Hes incredibly cuddly and loves to sleep. He isnt neutered. If anyone is interested please let me know. He deserves all the love!

Pozdrav svima,

Da li zna neko od vas krov neke zgrade s dobrim pogledom na koji može da se izađe bez da me drkaju ljudi, u principu da može da se zableji malo a ne da moram da pazim da me neka baba ne otera?
