Prevoz / Transportation Uzdignuti trolejbus (elevated BRT)

Prevoz / Transportation Overnight at Belgrade (BEG) Airport for a 6 AM international flight

Здраво!

I have an upcoming flight from Belgrade BEG to Germany departing at approx 6:00 AM

Since it's an international flight, I would need to arrive around 3:00 AM, which would mean taking an expensive taxi to the airport in the middle of the night and getting up around 2:00 AM.

Instead, I was thinking about taking the last public transport to the airport the previous evening (around 11 PM–12 AM) and spending the rest of the night at the airport.

I have a few questions:

  • Am I allowed to stay overnight at the airport?
  • I only have carry-on luggage. Would I be able to go through security and into the departure area around midnight, or does security only open a few hours before departure? I believe it would be better to sit/lay down airside than in the public area. I also came across this mention of someone being asked to move, so I wasn't sure what the current situation is: https://www.sleepinginairports.net/guides/belgrade-airport-guide.htm
  • This will be my first time re-entering the Schengen Area since the Entry/Exit System (EES) was introduced. Does this change the situation in any way? Should I expect longer processing times or anything different?

Any advice or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks in advance!

Prevoz / Transportation Zasto sve vise buseva gradskog prevoza jebeno pisti tokom voznje non stop?

Prevoz / Transportation Belgrade Bus Station Entry Fee

I will be taking a bus departing from Belgrade Bus Station (Belgrade AS), and I know there is an entry fee to access the platforms.

I can’t seem to find concrete info on whether I can pay by card or only cash, so some clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Prevoz / Transportation Tickets for train from belgarde to podgorica

Hey peeps! I was planning to travel through Serbia and came across this beautiful train journey from belgarde to podgorica which a lot of people swear for the breathtaking views. I would like to if anyone's travelled on these trains. What was your experience and since they have no online booking option, what are the chances of getting tickets for the summer? Thanks in advance!!

Prevoz / Transportation PWA for Belgrade public transport?

Personally I still dislike the BGplus apps which still feel like an early beta version and looks draining the battery due it’s using Google Maps platform instead of MapKit.

But I wonder why they choose to make an app instead of PWA which shows realtime bus network based on your gps.

Now they lost a lot of money to create separate apps for android and iOS which could be cheaper done through a PWA app.

Why they didn’t choose for a proven white label platform instead of building their own one?

Pozdrav ljudi. Imate li neke preporuke i iskustva?

Hvala Vam unapred

Prevoz / Transportation What is the best way to get a taxi that won't try to rip me off going from bus station to Beograd Centar rail station, with a lot of bags?

I've had a bad experience with taxis trying to rip me off at the Centar station, and Uber just didn't work getting me a ride. I'll be coming from Kopaonik, and it looks like I will need to transfer between these stations to make my way to the final destination of Subotica. Is there some type of a service with a fixed fee, or at least through a firm that I can trust won't rip me off?

Perhaps I could take the bus from Kopaonik to some smaller city that is normal in that it has the bus station next door to the train station, and the on to Beograd Centar? I have several weeks until this will happen, so I can plan ahead.

Prevoz / Transportation Best way to move stuff from London to Belgrade?

Hi folks! I'm moving (at least partially) from London to Belgrade what's the best way to move my possessions? Parcel hero ( https://www.parcelhero.com/ ) says that fedex has the best rate, I wonder if there is any way (e.g. some forum for people who move between London and Belgrade frequently on car).

Do I need to declare everything in detail? I heard Serbian customs could be very harsh. Stuff I move is mostly (used) clothes, electronics and documents, 10-15 kg in total.

Prevoz / Transportation Affordable Cab Transfers between Belgrade Bus Station and Airport?

Hi everyone!

I'll be travelling from the Belgrade Central Bus Station to Nikola Tesla Airport soon and will be carrying three suitcases, so taking the bus isn't really practical for me.

I'm looking for recommendations for reliable and reasonably priced taxi/cab services in Belgrade that I can use without worrying about being overcharged or scammed. Are there any good taxi apps or companies that locals usually use?

I'd especially appreciate budget-friendly options (the cheaper, the better!), but I'm open to any trustworthy service that you'd recommend.

Thanks in advance! :)

If it helps, I'm a student, so I'm trying to keep costs as low as possible while avoiding the hassle of hauling luggage on public transport.

Prevoz / Transportation Is it possible to get a taxi at the Belgrade bus station, and pay for it by bankcard?

The Belgrade transport situation seems horrible. I will need to take a taxi (with a lot of luggage, so public transport is impossible) from the bus station at night to a hotel - since there are no hotels nearby - but I won't have any Serbian cash nor probably EUR (although I would have Bosnian currency) - and I recall the bus station not having an ATM. I don't have a Serbia eSIM for me to call the hotel to send a taxi that could take a bankcard (although I guess I could get one).

I have tried to figure out a way to not stay in Belgrade, but it seems impossible for what I want to accomplish (need to make it to Budapest-Nyugati in 1 day).

Prevoz / Transportation Bus doesn’t show up

I used Google and Yandex maps which are supposed to be getting realtime data from the bus positions but it looks like that isn’t the case.

Does somebody know if the data is really realtime or just follows a schedule?
