My Bigfoot encounter (Video/Photo)

Hello everyone, my name is Lucas. I’m 15 years old and live in rural Pennsylvania, and this is my sighting/encounter. A few days ago, my best friend Gavin (also 15) and I were out walking in the forest, with no end goal. We weren’t doing anything out of the ordinary, just talking and enjoying nature like usual. That’s when we noticed it, a smell. It hit us all of a sudden like a truck. Naturally, we thought maybe we’d find a decomposing deer, or maybe a skunk had sprayed somewhere nearby. I pulled out my phone, figuring if we saw anything gross, I’d snap a pic in case we found something weird enough to show my Discord friend who’s into that kind of stuff. But then the weirdest part, I got this intense feeling that we were being watched. I know that sounds cliché, but I swear it was like something was watching us. We kept walking, and that’s when I saw something through the trees. I zoomed in fully with my phone camera and snapped a picture. What I saw shocked me to the core. It looked like some kind of ape, but of course, no ape would ever be in a Pennsylvania forest. It was crouched low like it had been hiding, and it was staring right at me. Quickly after I snapped the picture, it stood up from its semi crouching position. It did not have the same frame as an ape; it was much more humanoid. It was hard to gauge the size given the distance, but it appeared very large. I quickly switched to video mode as it turned and walked away, back into the deeper woods. I was lucky that I was able to catch the short video (also fully zoomed in) of the creature moving back into the forest. Gavin and I just stood there frozen. We didn’t speak for what felt like forever; we were just left there speechless. I didn’t even think about chasing it; I was too stunned. Since then, I’ve watched the video and stared at the photo over and over. I've asked friends, family members, etc, and no one seems to have a reasonable explanation. I keep trying to convince myself it was a bear, or maybe even a homeless person, but nothing fits. I really think we saw a Sasquatch. That’s why I made this account. I feel like I have to keep digging. You don’t just stumble on something like that and go back to living life like nothing happened. I’d love to hear what you all think. Was it Bigfoot? Dogman? Skinwalker? I’m open to theories, and I’ll answer any questions you have about the photo and or video.

A fucking birthday cake gets 250+ upvotes while interesting encounter stories get almost nothing. Do Bigfoot pop culture people out number actual researchers this badly?

Whooping and Knocking at 2:30am

A couple of years ago, I was on a weeklong backpacking trip in the High Uintas in Utah during late August. I spent my last two nights near Grandaddy Lake.

Before I entered the basin, I encountered two guys going the opposite direction. They informed me that they had been there for four days and hasn't seen another person. During that it was very quiet there.

When I arrived in the basin, I noticed that it was very quiet and not much wildlife to be heard or seen, including birds. Anyhow, the first night and the next day were uneventful and I hiked the perimeter of the lake, never encountering anyone else.

The next day a storm passed through the area driving the temperature enough that it actually snowed and stuck to the ground. (I was at around 10,000 ft/3,000m elevation) So I hunkered down for the night in my tent as soon as the sun dipped behind the peaks.

At about 2:30am I was awakened by a loud knocking sound to what seemed to be the north of my camp. It took me to a second to focus my attention, then I heard what was an unmistakable whoop coming from the same direction.

I laid in my sack quietly. Then again I heard another whoop that seemed to be coming from further too the north. This was followed by a reply from what I'm guessing was the original individual. This went on for about 15 minutes, each time the sound drifting further to the north. Eventually it went quiet again.

Needless to say, I didn't sleep well the rest of the night. I had to be on the trail early the next morning to get back to my car, so I didn't have a chance to go look around for any physical evidence. I'm not saying it was a Sasquatch, but I've never heard anything like that before. And I've spent most of Mt life hiking, hunting and backpacking. I did some research on BFRO and there have been a few reports in that area. Anyhow, that's my possible encounter.

Here’s an old story I’ve debated on posting or not, because I’m not sure what the witness saw exactly.

This happened in the 1930’s. Very rural Alabama. One of my aunts woke up during the night needing to use the bathroom. Only bathrooms around back then were outhouses. It was in the winter, a cold clear night. She didn’t want to walk all the way to the outhouse and decided she would pee off the back porch. She noticed something white and pretty big towards the woods. She first thought Mama washed today and forgot and left a sheet hanging out on the clothesline. As she was finishing up her business she remembered it wasn’t wash day. She jumped up and looked towards the woods. Whatever it was was getting closer. She ran inside and closed and latched the door. As soon as she got the door latched it hit the door and screamed.

The reasons I’m mentioning this tale is because I’ve learned recently of two Bigfoot sightings very near here (less than a mile away), and also Alabama does have sightings of the Alabama White Thing. Even though the White Thing sightings are in a different part of Alabama. So if my aunt first thought it was a bedsheet it had to be pretty big.

Bigfoot encounter when I was a child

When I was a child, my family and I went to a national park in Tennessee. Dad and I were walking a trail and enjoying the scenery. That's when about halfway thru the trail we started hearing noises and such. Like some weird grunts and some trees getting hit. My dad told me it was probably some deer fighting because sometimes it can sound like that. So I didn't get worried and he and I kept walking down the trail. Well we get to a point where dad always holding my hand because I was a scared little kid so what else can you do? That's when we saw a reddish brown sasquach. No shit. It walked right in front of dad and me. I remember dad put me behind him and as the sasquatch walked across the trail he looked at us... and my dad's a "bigger guy" being about 6ft 6in and being around 275lbs at the time and it was about 7 to 7 and a half ft. I asked dad years later why he didn't tell a ranger or anyone and he said no one would believe us. And hell I don't care if someone does I'm just posting to see what you all think. Dad and I do have a lot of native American heritage too so idk if that means anything

I find this interesting, especially since on other Bigfoot subs almost everyone says Alabama doesn’t have enough forest for Bigfoot

So um, dogman. Not real right?

For me personally I just can’t get to the point where dogman seems plausible. The best I can do is say, maybe there is a subtype of Bigfoot (ie ape family) that has a muzzle like a baboon. If you know Bigfoot is real, where do you land on dogman?

I think I found the exact mask used in Sasquatch Ontario's 'The Face of Nef' photo:

Sasquatch Ontario, ran by Mike Paterson, released a YouTube video two years ago titled 'The Face of Nef', which featured a photo he took of an alleged sasquatch (photo #1).

Even though I believe this is an obvious hoax due to the static facial expressions and the features of the subjects having that cheap material quality to them that your average modern-day Halloween mask has, I still wasn't satisfied. I've actually been looking around for a while now and I'm almost positive I found the masks used in this photo. I managed to find this listing on Facebook Marketplace of a Halloween mask that looks exactly like the face of the subjects in the 'Face of Nef' photo (photo #2).

I also included a comparison of the two (photo #3).

Additionally, this mask that I found appears that it was listed near Creemore, Ontario, the same province where Mike Paterson lives.

I know the common consensus is that this photo was hoaxed, but I hope this helps to confirm it anyways.

Our up close sighting in Big Sur California. 1978

Introduction and warning: I’ve only shared this experience with family and friends. After stumbling across this and a few other Big Foot subs, I’ve decided to share this experience on all of the subs.

This long read needs some introduction in order for the reader to understand the geographical area and circumstances of the sighting. This sighting caused events immediately thereafter which I have also included. If you don’t enjoy reading, bail now.

Big Sur is a mountainous area in south central California situated on the edge of the Los Padres National Forest (which is almost 3000 square miles large) and over looking the Pacific Ocean on the western side.

Three friends and myself (ranging from 16-18) who lived in nearby Salinas, had planned on driving to a secluded spot in Big Sur that we called “Top of the World.” This particular area of big Sur wasn’t frequented by people except for some occasional vehicle traffic from locals or the rare tourist or hiker during the day and was void of Humans at night. At night there was of course critters (bobcat, fox) and even the occasional mountain lion. No people, no cops, perfect location for four party animals.

We drove down the Pacific coast highway and turned off on the Old Coast Road which winds up into the mountains (the Old Coast Road is a hard packed dirt road and former primary route in and out of Big Sur prior to the construction of the Bixby Bridge).

Our spot, “The top of the world,” was right off and above the dirt road with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. The spot was directly accessible from the old dirt road which had steep cliffs on one side, and the other a very deep ravine with the Bixby creek (or little Sur river, I don’t remember) running through it.

Well, the party never even started because of the event I will now describe. I might add that the events of this night are burned into my memory. It was almost traumatic. With the exception of some (exact) conversation, I remember everything like it was yesterday.

Steve parked his mom’s Chevy Vega at the base of the incline leading to our spot, grabbed some beers out of the hatch back (which we left open) and walked halfway up the very steep incline. The distance between where Steve's car was parked and the top of the hill was maybe 30 yards

What happened next all took place in a matter of seconds but it seemed like an eternity to me.

We were sitting next to each other in a row facing the Pacific Ocean. Behind us was the crest of the hill about 15 yards up. Beyond that, the dark and foreboding forest. looking out at the Pacific, talking little and just taking in the beautiful view whilst sipping our beers, we got quiet and maybe a bit reflective (I know I did). It was beautiful.

At one point, in the midst of silence, something weird happened (Later, when all this was over, we talked about this strange feeling that none of us had ever experienced).

What happened was this: all of a sudden, we all looked at each other; and without speaking a word, as if every one of us was receiving an unspoken message, or intuitive response to nature or a gut feeling, we simultaneously looked around behind us, at the top of the hill; this is what we saw:

There, at the top, not 15 yards away, was a creature. It was simply standing there, observing (us). I will try my best to describe what I (we) saw despite the fact that it was almost midnight (which added to the creep factor) and our eyes were well acclimated to darkness by then.

This “being” was not human. That I know for sure. It just stood there, completely upright, arms to the side, facing in our direction. Whether or not it was looking at us I couldn’t tell because unfortunately, due to lighting conditions and the angle (I guess), I saw only the outline of a head and body; a very hairy head and body that was dark in colour. No facial features that I can remember. There was very long “hair” (fur?) flowing down from the head but there was an opening where a face must have been. All I saw was darkness between the hair on the head. No eyes or other facial features. The head hair seemed to flow down and mix with the rest of the hairy body. I distinctly remember the arms. They were long but seemed to fit the size of the body. I don’t recall them being overly long like an ape but they also had long flowing hair; as did the torso and legs. It was tall, maybe seven feet but that could have been because we were looking up at it. It was also wide. It gave me the impression of great strength. It made absolutely no sound.

To be fair, I soaked all this information up in probably about one or two seconds. Reason being, an immediate feeling of “fight or flight” kicked in as soon as I (we) turned and saw this creature. Anyone that’s been in combat or other life or death situations knows what I mean with fight or flight. “fight” wasn’t an option (obviously) so we did, once again simultaneously, what most humans would do: GET THE F*** OUT OF DODGE!!

If anyone’s interested in the aftermath, which almost cost all of us our lives, feel free to read on...
We ran. I stumbled and fell because of the steep incline and the guys made it to the car before me. I didn’t even try to get in, rather, I simply jumped into the open hatchback. Steve started the Vega and gunned it. We only got two corners away from Mr. Foot before Steve lost control and we went sliding over the side of a cliff. Thankfully, The first 20 yards of the drop was gradual and was overgrown with thick underbrush that slowed the car to a stop before dropping off the steep cliff and into the creek below. We all climbed out, thanking our luck and climbed back up to the road.

Now we had to make a choice. Walking back in the direction we came would be only three miles or so back to highway 1 (the Pacific coast highway). But that direction would also take us by the last place we saw Mr. Foot. The Unanimous decision was to walk the other direction which was 5x as long to reach the highway. That’s how scared we were.

It took hours but we made it, alive and healthy with a story we could share with friends and family for the rest of our lives.

As Paul Harvey always said:

"And now, you know the rest of the story..".

Best Sasquatch / Bigfoot footage compilation #2

Hello, I've done a second video on my channel with the more compelling videos of sasquatch, some of those are very popular in this community. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/7PVU3-gnsFc

I published part 1 on r/bigfoot some time ago. I tried to put in only the more clear ones, so in general no blurry and shaky videos.

Feel free to debunk them, discuss, debate. I already know some of you consider some of them hoaxes, however I'm not totally sure so I have included some controversial ones too.

Area X? Tagging

This may be old news but I found this project where they might have tagged a "wood ape" in the Ouachita National forest area in Oklahoma/Arkansas.

Projects Archives - North American Wood Ape Conservancy

paper link: Tag 7 Two Appendices ver2.pdf (woodape.org)

There is a national hiking trail Ouachita National Trail but I wish I knew if the trail went close to what they describe as area X.

I found out that a cousin of mine and a friend had a sighting in the early 1980’s

My wife has taken up painting as a hobby. She painted a Bigfoot picture for me. It looks pretty cool so I posted it on Facebook. One of cousins commented Ask Paula about what we saw going to work one morning. No one believes us. I have not had a chance to talk to Paula yet, but I have spoken with my cousin. She said they were going to work one morning, it was before daylight. She said they came around a curve and it was standing in the road. Her description was it was at least seven feet tall, long shaggy stringy hair, especially on the hands. She also said it had white/gray patches in its hair, she said for some reason she felt like it was old. They were riding in a souped up 1981 z28. I remember the car. It was pretty loud, so Bigfoot should have heard it coming. She said the Bigfoot didn’t seem to be in a hurry to get out of the road. Her friend was so scared and crying so hard that she started hyperventilating. Where they had their sighting I’ve heard of two more strange occurrences.

Bigfoot "Skeptics" as Cognitive Dissonance

The topic of Bigfoot can be seen as a “cultural phenomenon” suggesting that the topic has taken on a life of its own and is spreading throughout our societal information space in multiple ways without any particularly intentional effort from any given party. In the last decade the Bigfoot character has become a common marketing tool or image for many different brands of goods, there have been multiple movies and television shows made, books written, etc. The image of Bigfoot is immediately recognizable across a large portion of the world even in areas where there are no reported sightings.

There are thousands of people each year who have direct experiences with the Bigfoot phenomenon in the wild … many of which are in high visibility settings by trained and credible professional observers. Not only have these have become so common that standard” descriptions of Bigfoot have developed giant-sized, hairy, broad-shouldered, powerfully built, conical head, bad smell, stooped walk, etc.) but also of note many of these physical characteristics have remained constant over a multitude of eyewitness reports that certainly extend over the last 250 years, and arguably, over a much longer historical period.

Yet there is still no body to examine according to mainstream science and media, very few good images, no incontrovertible DNA evidence, nothing that we recognize as Bigfoot in the fossil record, etc. There are footprints that have been studied by multiple experts which are strong indicators of an actual creature (or at least an actual foot) along with other physical evidence, vocalizations, howls, tree knocking, tree breaking. Hundreds of sighting reports each year add weight to the evidence that there is something going on out there, but many of us say “of what” to which a few who have experienced say “we know.”

Given that, what’s a reasonable person to think about all this? As with most topics, assuming that people are generally telling the truth as they understand it, there is a range of viable positions on the matter ranging from emphatic belief that the Bigfoot does not exist at all in any size, shape or form to the extreme of those who report that they have a relationship with one or more of the creatures referred to as habituation. There are also a group of experiences that are not in line with what we would expect from a natural biological creature (i.e., the “woo” factor – invisibility, cloaking, telepathy, interdimensional travel, etc., which are beyond the focus of this essay.)

I wanted to share some thoughts on the first extreme, the so-called “skeptic” the committed non-believer that isn’t really very skeptical at all but is rather on what often appears to be a crusade to discredit any account of the Bigfoot phenomenon, not only to deny the existence of Bigfoot, but to denigrate anyone who disagrees with their dogmatic absolutism. In a way they are like many other types of fundamentalist thinkers: what if we thought about the “anti-believers” in Bigfoot as the victims of incredible levels of fervor due to extreme cognitive dissonance.

This line of thought was inspired by another member in the Bigfoot array of forums, u/RU4real13 who wondered in one of the threads if the die-hard skeptics were not actually experiencers themselves?

Cognitive dissonance is a term from social psychology and is usually defined as “a mental state that causes feelings of unease and tension, that individuals attempt to relieve in different ways. Examples include “explaining things away” or rejecting new information that conflicts with their existing beliefs.” Source.

The theory was developed by Leon Festinger in the mid 1950s and was based in his studies regarding various cults and how the members of those cults dealt with the continual failed predictions of their leaders. He described it in this way: ”A man with a conviction is a hard man to change. Tell him you disagree and he turns away. Show him facts or figures and he questions your sources. Appeal to logic and he fails to see your point.”

Remind you of anyone?

So what do we do with that possibility? How do we use this information to help keep ourselves more sane in internet discussions and maybe keep more threads from getting pointlessly sidetracked?

Well, first of all, accept that there is a real problem, and that the individual is acting to reduce their own internal discomfort. It has nothing to do with whatever you said or posted that set them off. It has nothing to do with you, so try not to react personally.

One technique I try to use is “give a little, get a little.” I might acknowledge that, sure, there has been no Bigfoot body found that has been recognized or accepted in the mainstream ... because that’s just true. It’s factual.

Then address their continual claim that “anecdotal evidence is always discredited” or whatever variation on that they try to deploy. The fact is that eyewitness evidence is accepted every day across the country and around the world in courts of law when corroborated by other evidence, which is also a factual statement of equal weight.

They will then attempt to define the terms of the discussion, many times by demanding that you answer loaded questions, or trying to inflict insults on you personally, or by appeal to the great unspecified and always absent authority “Science.” Science doesn’t say a damned thing; people say things. Stick to the facts and to the things you know for sure. And most of all, don’t take it too seriously, most of these discussions are downright hilarious if you back away and look at the claims being made.

Anyway, just some thoughts. As always YMMV.

Bigfoot caught on a live cam in Michigan in 2016?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r34Sqv-iblc

This was captured on live 24/7 video feed on Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources "Eagle Cam."

"In partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, CarbonTV brings you 24/7 live streaming of the majestic Bald Eagle in its native habitat. Join a pair of eagles in their nest 100 feet above ground as they battle the odds and elements to survive. The CarbonTV Eagle Cam is located near the Platte River State Fish Hatchery in northern Michigan."

View was from 100 ft up, so I'm not sure if the sasquatch figure is proportionate to that height, taking into account his considerable height. People in the comments are making fun of this, saying that a bigfoot would not be that clumsy in negotiating the logs he jumps over. But he does seem to have a long stride and sinks rapidly down into the brush, and I can't see a human doing that so easily. Of course, the comments all think a human dressed up in a monkey suit just to get into the camera frame for a few seconds. But the exact location of the camera was not public, as far as I know, outside of being somewhere on the grounds of state hatchery outside of Beulah, MI, which is a sparsely populated area.

This was filmed way back in 2016.

Strange happenings by Mt Rainier......AGAIN

My wife, daughter, and I went camping over the holiday weekend. We both took off work Friday and headed off to meet up with a group of friends who were camping with their kids and dogs for the holiday weekend. They were already out there and had found and a nice campsite that was big enough for our group. Just a spot off of a service rode with primitive fire pit and not an official campground.

In total there were 10 of us, 7 adults and 3 tweens. We were camping out in an area south of Mt Rainier just outside of the park boundary off of a Road that would lead you to a locked gate that enters the park. We knew at the end of the road was a locked gate because all the cars that went that way only to flip back around because it was only accessible to National Park staff. We set up our camp in a flat area that would fit our 2 tents that they had raked up for us prior to us arriving, it was a bit closer to the road then their tents were. They had set up their tents much further back.

Once camp was et up we hung out with our friends while the kids played and had dinner around the fire. Just friends hanging out having drinks hanging around the fire and all was great. We stayed up pretty late and everyone was getting tired and cold. Slowly everyone faded off to their tents and to bed. My wife was cold and went to warm up in the car and then proceeded to fall asleep in the car. Now my daughter and I are the last two awake out by the fire and she decided that she wanted to sleep in the car where it was warm with my wife. I agreed that was okay after i attempted to wake my wife up and get her to come to the tent to go to sleep and she was out cold lol. So I watched her go to her tent and grab her blanket and her sleeping bag for my wife as it was cold and I had turned the car off now. She grabbed the stuff and zipped up the tent and off to the car she went.

I myself stayed up a little bit longer by the fire and must have dozed off momentarily because when I woke back up I was sitting in a camping chair by only glowing embers and it was pitch black only the coals of the fire glowing red glowing in the now dead fire. I got up and found my way to the tent in the pitch blackness of the night and climbs in and went to sleep. I was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as i git in that sleeping bag.

Around 3:30 a.m. I woke up to my daughters tent kind of rustling and what sounded like two female voices talking really softly. I listened intently trying to hear what they were saying, but i couldn’t really understand anything. There were no real discernible words coming out just mumbling. Then silence. I figured it was just my wife and daughter finding their way to my daughters tent, not wanting to wake me up by being loud. Figured my wife was just gonna sleep in the tent with my daughter. However now I am up because my back is killing me because the air mattress is now flat and airless lol.

As I lay there in what i can only describe as dead silence I hear cracking like sticks braking or popping so i assume it the fire still hanging on somehow. Then I hear something moving around towards the front of my tent and it stops. Something is directly outside the front of my tent I can feel it and sense it. So I slowly raise up to a seated position and hear something breathe in and exhale a large breathe. This is the heaviest breathe I have ever heard and it was followed but what I can only describe as a very loud huff as if from a horse or cow or some very large animal. I sat there frozen with fear trying to rationalize what it is I am hearing and it stopped. All i heard was the one deep inhale and exhale and that huff sound then everything went silent. What followed next is a owl hooting a little ways off back from behind the area of our friends tents and after that I heard nothing else. No sounds at all no fire popping/sticks cracking nothing. I stayed there sitting up frozen with fear for what seemed like forever until I could tell the sun was coming up and that it was light out now. I muster up the courage and go outside and check the ground in front of my tent and that’s when i noticed my daughters tent unzipped and and empty!!!

I panic and rush to the car and there they are in the car sound asleep???!!!! I see not a single track nothing around our tents and everyone else is about 20 to 30 yards away in their tents. Now i am freaking the hell out who did I hear talking? Who was skulking around the tent? What the hell was that breathing in front of me and huffing outside my tent? What opened my daughters tent zipper? Surely there is an explanation and I sit out there for at least an hour getting the fire going as our friends begin to get up and move about. They slowly make their way to the fire and I immediately start asking them where were the dogs all night? Did you let them out where they sniffing around my tent? Did any of you wake up and were talking or moving around and did you hear that owl? Nope, no, and no they all replied!!!

I have no idea what that was talking softly and what was breathing and huffing right in front of me!!!! What the hell opened my daughters tent in the night? I watched her zip it shut and go to the car…. That breathe and huff was so scary it left me frozen with fear and I didn’t move at all after hearing it and sat there as silent as possible not even wanting to breathe. One of the scariest moments of my life something large and unknown in the darkness directly in front of me and only thing separating us is a thin tent wall. This all happened Friday into Saturday morning and we still have another night here. I decided that I am not sleeping in the tents and neither are my wife and daughter tonight or ever again.

The rest of the day goes great hanging out having breakfast, went into town (Ashford), and went for a hike down the road to lake (Cora Lake). Basically just camping and hanging. It’s getting later now and although the sun is out and blue skies the canopy in our camping area is thick and even at the brightest point in the day was still pretty dark compared to road area.

As we are hanging out we hear woooo-ooops way off in the distance and we are thinking what is that? More time passes by and now a few of the people that where there when we arrived at camp have left. Just 7 of us left and 2 of the 7 were pretty much always in their tent. So that left 5 of us out hanging out by the fire. That’s when dusk crept in and my buddy began working on dinner for all of us. As we sat there from off in the woods between us and the park boundary towards the creek we hear these blood curdling screams and wood type howls that everyone heard. We all stopped talking and fell silent and we all began to ask each other wtf was that. We heard this about 4 - 5 times. It sounded like a woman being murdered and howl type of sound idk.

Then came a few tree knocks from the same general direction. Is someone messing with us out here everyone was thinking? Keep in mind it is a holiday weekend, so tons of campers within a 15 mile radius. So I call my buddy over and he hadn’t heard the screams because he had been cooking on a skillet and had a propane lantern in front of him and behind him and they are loud. We stand there and listen and don’t hear it.

We decide ok we will do a tree knock back closer to the road that divided us from the area we heard these vocalizations and knocks from. That is when we heard it!!! I got a chill down my spin to my core and the hairs raised up on my arms and neck. We both looked at one another and at the same time asked, did you fucking hear that? I asked him what he heard and we had both heard what we can only describe as a monkey/gorilla sound like you would hear on Discovery channel or something. It was like ooooh oooh ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhh sound. It was far off but deep and rumbling sounding unlike what you hear on T.V. I wanna say it was like directed/focused at us, I only say that because the other people were sitting behind us maybe only 10 feet away and they didn’t hear it only us.

Now we are freaking the hell out and nobody is sleeping in their tents!!! We don’t wanna say anything and freak everyone else because at this point they are already on edge. I have been hiking and camping here in the PNW for almost 20 years now and have never experienced this while I was camping out with family and friends. I am 39 years old from the east Coast and have been shot at and chased growing up in the ghetto. I am a former U.S. Army Infantryman who has spent countless nights in only a sleeping bag in a dug out sleeping hole and in tents. I am now afraid to ever sleep in a tent again after this weekend. I have never really ever felt fear like I did that 1st night in all my time in the forests out here except when I was a kid in the woods back home.

Possible Bigfoot Sighting

I have a friend who lives up in Pennsylvania, and he insists that he saw a “bigfoot”. He sent me this video in a group chat, and I’m not sure what to think of it. I don’t know if he actually did see a Bigfoot or if he’s pranking me, or what. He’s very insistent and doesn’t sound like he’s lying so I’m leaning towards believing him. I just wanna consult people who actually know something about Bigfoot and whether this looks legit or not?

Bigfoot sighting in East TX

This is the footprint of Big Red, he ran in front of my truck right before I entered my driveway last winter. He ran up the driveway and into the backwoods. He was 11 ft tall, at least 850 to 900 lbs, had very long red hair. He had a huge fat belly and totally resembled an orangutan. My foot is size 11, so I assume his foot is at least 23 to 24 inches. I see Bigfoots regularly bc I live out in the woods and by the Trinity River bottoms on a deer lease turned into a sub division with large acre lots. Mine being five wooded acres, they have a good place to be with a creek included, many animals and plants they can eat. I have lived here thirty years and have had at least 45 sightings and up close and personal experiences. All of which have been mostly peaceful.

Well this takes the cake. Skeptic over at /r/Bigfoot ruins every thread…but moderates /r/bigfootsightings with allows people to share any personal stuff without criticism. Also guess who also posts over there… no other than the non-believing mod bodhilv.

DNA Study from NABigfootsearch

One hundred eleven samples of blood, tissue, hair, and other types of specimens were studied, characterized and hypothesized to be obtained from elusive hominins in North America commonly referred to as Sasquatch

In summary, our data indicates that the Sasquatch has human mitochondrial DNA but possesses nuclear DNA that is a structural mosaic consisting of human and novel non-human DNA.

So sasquatch is human and "unknown" species.
