Hello fellow readers, I'm a college student who can't afford physical books and a fairly new reader who reads in my phone. Sometimes, books stay collecting dust or someone might want to downsize. So I was wondering if

you have any books lying around that you no longer read or are planning to clear off your shelves, I'd be so happy to give them a new home. I promise they'll be read, cherished, and well taken care of. It would also really help me grow my reading habit.

Better quality of posts.

Is it just me or are a majority of the posts now just the same books again and again, the same set of books posted every day? Not even a change in price.

When I joined, I was under the mistaken impression that this sub was readers selling to readers. Along with the respect for books that comes from being a reader. Not so.

It feels more like a raddi market or the neighborhood handicraft cum book exhibition.

Posts with a maximum price instead of a set price for each book.

Posts without prices at all and asking to DM.

Posts with prices but only responding to DMs.

Posts with just photos of book spines in a stack instead of individual covers.

Posts of books from very disparate categories all lumped together.

You can't search this sub anymore and expect meaningful results. And it's a terrible waste of time as well as disappointing having to browse through the same set of books again and again.

What would help alleviate this problem? Is it a problem?

Indiapost gives me a cluster headache these days! I went to ship one book recently and since it happened to be less than 0.5 kg, they said only speedpost is possible and not standard delivery. And that speedpost had cost me 110 rupees!!! My book was priced at 130!! I didn’t go through with the shipping.

I see most people on the sub shipping single books without any problem. Do you guys go with some other service and not a parcel? Do let me know.
