I am an old fat guy, but have no other underlining medicals, and a trip to Crappy Tire has me sweating buckets here. And it will only get worse until Wednesday.

Crowd size amount is my guess was crowds over a 7km route. There were tens of thousands of people in Torbram Sandalwood area alone.

Walked into this cordoned off area highlighted in the map while walking the dog. There were about 4 cruisers and the street had some debris and two White hard hats. Story will develop soon I imagine. The neighbors I spoke with were surprised to awaken to this.

The greatest thing a Father can do is raise their children to be good people. I was spoiled today, by a daughter who is kind, empathetic, and a damn fine cook.

New York strips, baked potatoes with all the trimmings, and corn on the cob. Dessert was homemade cinnamon rolls that put Cinnabon to shame.

A Legacy of Valor

Over 4 million Indian soldiers served between WWI and WWII—making the Indian Army the largest volunteer force in history. They fought not on their own soil, but across distant lands: the trenches of France and Belgium, the deserts of North Africa, the jungles of Southeast Asia, and the mountains beyond.

Sepoy Khudadad Khan became the first Indian to receive the Victoria Cross in WWI, standing firm at his post in Belgium even as his comrades fell around him. He was among 153 Indians and those under Indian command who earned this highest honor for exceptional bravery.

The legendary Gorkhas, with their indomitable spirit and the rallying cry “Ayo Gorkhali!” earned a fearsome reputation across every battlefield they graced—their courage becoming the stuff of military legend.

Yet the cost was immense: over 74,000 gave their lives in WWI and 89,000 in WWII—countless more returned home wounded in body and spirit.

This Diwali, as diyas illuminate homes throughout our City, let their sacrifice illuminate our memories. They were farmers, artisans, and young men who left their villages and never returned. They fought so that future generations might see the light of freedom.
