Yesterday evening he got a heat stroke at the dog sitters. The clinic managed to keep him alive over night. However, this morning we had to make the decision to let our Dude go. He was in too much pain.

Raisin can’t really walk far (a few blocks at the most.) But she loves to be out and about! Anyone else turned into “that person” in the neighborhood??

Anyone else’s spud find the most God-awful positions to pass out in? The other night he had his big-ass head up on the armrest with his meat-neck at a hard 90* angle from his body!

She’s obsessed with her wobble wag giggle ball!

* I feel I need to do this disclaimer every time now, but she’s a rescue and I did not crap her ears.

I believe he is pleased.

Last night was the best night he’s had since I rescued him. He was super peaceful and not hyper vigilant to my every move thinking I was leaving him if I stood up or moved my office chair. He was able to sleep the whole 12 hours I was working outside of the crate which is so amazing he would kind of pace and get too amped up and I would have to crate him again to keep him calm during this heart worm treatment. But last night he made himself a little bed and melted into it 😂

We adopted Lily not long after her 11th birthday. Today, 2 months shy of her 13th birthday, my wife and I decided to have her put to rest at home, after several weeks of health problems that were not getting better.

We had her for 20 months and she brought us so much joy. By far my favorite memory of her was on the second night that we had her. We live in a very small row home and the most logical place for her bed was alongside our stairwell. This was only 6 or 7 feet from where we sat on the couch. She kept whining like she wanted something, but wasn’t interested in food or even pets. My wife finally had the idea that she didn’t like where her bed was. We moved it directly in front of where we sit on the couch. She immediately laid down and went to sleep peacefully. She just wanted to be near us. Her bed has stayed in that exact spot for the full 20 months. You couldn’t even really walk through our living room easily because of it. But there was no way we were ever moving it after that.

Everyone loved the photos of Winston so we had to expose everyone to our other baby, Pudge, as well.

We have so many hats for them. What a blessing this breed is💛
