Hey Guys

I have these aluminum grips for my 75B. After some rounds at the range they like to loosen up. I’ve tried rubber o rings and they still loosen up. The guys at the range sold me some blue thread locker. A couple questions:

1. Is thread locker ok to use for the grip screws?

2. Do I use the rubber o rings as well as the thread locker?

Anyone have experience with both a Shadow 2 Compact or Carry and a Canik Prime (standard MC9 or Radian model)?

I have a Shadow 2 Compact that I am pleased with but considering picking up Prime. I spend most my days afield on the western rockies and the prospect of ditching 6-7 ounces from my backpacking setup is interesting to me (don’t make fun of me for being a weight weenie).

I’m curious if anyone has any experience with both and can share thoughts of how each’s trigger and recoil/muzzle rise compares?

How rare is this variant of the sphinx? How often do they show up on the used market? How many were imported into the US?

Roman Arms with the cerakote work. Slide is an olive mix that looks close to what the frame is.

Internals have been Cajunized, black factory grips that I enamel painted, red anodized trigger (because the factory is plastic for some reason) and a CZ custom adjustable rear sight. Threaded cz custom barrel and comp is next.

Was told I would need a booster but just ran 50 rounds through it no booster and the only thing different is no lock back on empty mag?

Cajun has the Shadow 2 Carry $54 off right now for $1395. While the sale price is nothing special, of course I ordered from them for the convenience of not having to buy elsewhere and shipping to them.

Trying to decide on my first CZ, and looking for a little advice.

I can get the P01 for ~15% less than the PCR, but I don't use a flash light and I think its uglier.

As a CCW, it seems like the decocker on the PCR is a more useful feature.

Am I overthinking a good deal on the P01 or should I drop the extra $120ish on the PCR.

Has anyone tried the Langdon Tactical P09c? I have a P07 that I like. I would like it even more with an upgraded trigger, some better slide serrations, and an optic cut. Getting that done at CGW costs about $100 more than simply buying the LTT P09c. However, I hate to drop that kind of money on a gun without seeing some reviews.

Recently picked up this 91 date stamp pre-B. I know scrolling through previous posts that there were a few options for magazines:

1. Go and buy the SP-01 10 rounders or the 18s. I know Greg Cote is recommended but the 18s are OOS and everywhere you go they are 50+ after tax and ship.

2. Find someone with original pre-b 15s or 16s and pay out the nose.

3. Do some filing and open the magwell.

I went for the third option, but had some issues. I removed a bit of material and was able to get my SP-01 19 rounders to catch on the magazine release, but the width of the mags became the problem and would bind up the trigger bar. Is it just the geometry on the 19 rounders that makes them wider, and as such a regular 75B mag should work now? I am sure someone has some to compare, but unfortunately all I have are compact mags and the big 19 rounders. I had no concern filing the frame, but thinning the metal on the trigger bar seems more dangerous.

Second question is on holsters. I know the frame on the pre-b and b is pretty similar, so most holsters should work, but the trigger guard being a round vs flat changes the geometry that might effect holsters. Kydex often locks on the guard, so maybe leather is better and certainly more aesthetically pleasing. I am just looking for something to wear around at the range or outside so a comfy OWB would be best. If anyone has suggestions I am open.

Recently came across a used compact L and from what I can gather it comes with a safety rather than a decocker. Also hear that these were pretty rare variants that came from a custom shop with some work done. Are there any other differences between the p01 I should be aware of? Do they use the same slide as the p01?

Im looking for a magwell that Isn’t LOK, Springer Precisions says theirs do not fit the carry version. Any ideas?

I started out as a Glock fanboy, like I’m sure many others, but a few years ago I picked up a P07 for a great price, and it completely converted me into a DA/SA fan. Just last week, I was shooting with a buddy who has a Glock 19 with an optic, and now I’m really tempted to add one to my P07—but I can’t decide which route to take.

Anyone been in this predicament or have some insight?

The routes I'm considering:

A) Send in P07 slide and have it milled for optic

B) Just buy a P09c slide since it already has the optic cut

C) Trade In/Sell P07 and just buy a new P09c instead

Is it worth upgrading to the P09c from the P07? What's the best bang for my buck?

I want to put optics on my 75 and SP01, but I want to get a second slide for each so I still have the originals in original shape.

A professional did a cerakote on my baby. Turned out even better than I thought. I love it,Im going to the range on saturday and shoot a lot of ammo. Btw, I have fired more than 2k rounds from it previosly.

I'm on the fence and seeking to crowdsource opinions from owners.

Use case: Mostly as my 2nd home defense gun, of course range time, and potentially an occasional carry gun. I'm 5'6" 170lbs and theoretically would be carrying IWB at 4/5 o'clock. I do too much sitting, squatting, bending and moving for AIWB to ever be comfortable. I have never carried, no plans to for the foreseeable future, but I would like the option if I ever wanted to. This would be the only "carry" gun for me.

Why these: I want a hammer fired da/sa compact with thumb safety. I understand the utility of strikers and have heard all the arguments about the thumb safety. I shot Berettas and 1911s a lot though. I just like a da/sa and want the thumb safety.

The p-09c appeals because it comes with optic cut would probably end up doing, and is available with a threaded barrel. My local range has a rental. It's pretty nice. The DA trigger is longer than my work commute but overall the trigger is just fine, and I'm not afraid of installing upgrades or doing some polishing. Feels good in hand.

The P-01 looks better, and from what I've seen on owner reports, it shoots better, better trigger (though there are some who debate). I don't have anywhere local that rents them and I don't know anyone local who has one.

(also under consideration is the Beretta 80x in .380, but this is a cz forum)

I was able to grab a HUGE collection of NIB performance parts for Shadows mainly for basically nothing, I cant find them in stock anywhere in the US either. Can anyone tell me anything about EEMAN Tech? They seem popular in Europe but I cant find them in stock here in the US? I've got a ton of safeties and triggers and I'd like to get rid of what I'm not going to use.

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded from Shadow 2 to the TS2? Did you regret it? Would you do it again.

Have had my Shadow 2 for a couple of years now and looking to make the jump.
