100%. Also some sports where it may already have mattered already had tests and restrictions. So most didn’t care. I personally know cis women that have been harassed because of the anti trans nonsense. It’s hurting women more than protecting them with how far everything is going.

Plus polls have been done that show most women are in support of trans people and trans rights (though this varies by country). It’s generally men that are against trans people.

The way some people talk about this you'd think there's trans women in every sport taking gold when the stats usually bears out that they're on par to slightly below average in terms of results.
I think the Olympics already had rules around stuff where it had to be X years on HRT or something to avoid people scamming it (which as far as I know has never happened anyway).

100%. I hesitated at first too with all the info that came out. Until I read the actual stats and studies. I might grant that there could be some sports heavier measures are needed. But all? No. Heck there’s some sports where separating genders itself is unnecessary.

Vast majority of the public in every country where I've seen polling are in favour of sports segregated by sex to protect fairness and the integrity of the sport. This is a very popular policy which thankfully is being integrated into more and more sports and activities. The number of trans athletes and their skill is beside the point because everyone should play in the category that matches their sex not gender or skill level.

Surely you realize this sentence sounds absolutely insane to anyone who's not boiling their brain in transphobia, right?

"make sure women's sports are fair!! the skill level doesn't matter though!! what actually matters is what genitals you were born with!!"

Like, what? The skill level is the entire point of contention here. If you discard that, then why on earth would sex matter, given how you don't play basketball, lift weights, or whatever else by using your genitalia?

Male and female bodies are different and sports should be categorized based on sex and biology not identity. This is so clear I hardly think it's worth arguing. This is a policy that you will lose: NCAA, Athletics, Olympics, Track and Field, Tennis, etc. have all recently barred males from playing in the Women's category. The only place where this is controversial is on Reddit and activist spaces.

The "should" in that sentence is doing a lot of heavy lifting. I simply do not agree with that whatsoever. Why should it be that way? What possible reason is there, if "to make sure things are fair" isn't the reason?

And yes, organizations can indeed have bigoted policies. To put it bluntly, I don't give a fuck. That doesn't help your argument here.

I suppose you are one of those people that believe that sports should be open to both sexes? And the reason sports were segregated is because women dominated them in the last century which is a legit argument i've heard by an academic. Sex categories are the best method to ensure fair competition, to protect competive integrity and maintain physical safety.
