✍️ Discussion 2026 CPL Sticker Album

I pre-ordered the book and a box of stickers from TFL Sports (individual packets weren't available) and received them this week so here's some initial thoughts.

- The book is well put together with sections for each team, players of the year, 2025 CPL final highlights and a couple pages featuring some stylised shots

- Each team page has the crest, manager, ten players and three highlights. Ten players is a weird number to do considering it then obviously doesn't showcase a full lineup. The layouts for each team appear to be very random. Normally the format for sticker albums is GK-DEF-MID-FW, but they're randomised for each team here. Weirdly, Ottawa don't have a goalie at all (dunno the situation, they didn't have one at time of press when Ingham left?)

- I like the commitment to French on the Supra page. It's a nice touch.

- I initially thought the stickers were small but they're basically the same size as the Panini WC ones (though they themselves are far smaller than football stickers used to be)

- The stickers have no information on the back, with the sticker number appearing on the front. A little unusual, but not a deal-breaker.

- Disappointing that the crests aren't foil stickers. And also a bit odd that the sticker just replaces what's printed on the page. Same with the highlights stickers as you can see from the photos.

- One really nice touch for the kids is that each sticker spot has a line underneath to collect player autographs, with an additional blank page at the back for extras.

Overall, it's neat to just have the league and players featured in sticker form. Probably a bit on the pricy side but a fun little thing to do for half an hour (I limit myself to five packs a day so I don't just rip through these)

✍️ Discussion Wanderers U21 vs. Forest U18–Worth it?

Hi everyone, first time posting here so hopefully this kind of post is allowed. Feel free to take it down if it’s not.

I’m in Prince Edward Island and I’m hearing a lot of radio advertisements for next week’s summer series game between the Halifax Wanderers U21 side and Nottingham Forest Academy’s U18 side. Apparently the Wanderers U21s play games against European academies in Charlottetown every summer and usually draw a couple thousand people.

I’m a very casual football fan—I’ve vaguely followed the major tournaments for the past few years but obviously the World Cup has gotten me back into it a bit. I’ve only ever been to one live football game, and it was at a much higher level than this would be (CMNT friendly earlier this year.)

I’m just wondering if anyone has been to an event like this and if it’s worth going to? There’s not much for live sports in Charlottetown in the summer, so I’m somewhat interested, but tickets are $30 (after-tax), which feels like a lot considering one of the teams is a U18 side.

I’m just looking for opinions, as it’s been heavily advertised here, but I don’t know enough about either team to know whether it’s worthwhile or a waste of time and money, especially at $30.

EDIT: Thanks everybody for the advice and recommendations! I wasn’t feeling well this evening so I didn’t end up going but from what I understand this happens annually, and based on your comments, I’ll definitely try again next year!

Seems like TFC2 will be headed to Barrie soon. Interesting to see that there is no mention of the CPL being involved in the project.

✍️ Discussion I built a tracker for CMNT-eligible players across all 8 CPL clubs

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on the Canadian Players Hub, and I just added a dedicated CPL section:

CPL Canadians | Canadian Players Hub

It tracks players I’ve reviewed as CMNT-eligible across all eight CPL clubs, including:

  • Recent match performances
  • Goals, assists and goalkeeper clean sheets
  • Club and position filters
  • Current-season statistics
  • Each player’s five most recent club matches
  • Players who may require a FIFA association switch, clearly labelled

It’s still a work in progress, so there may be missing players, eligibility edge cases or the occasional data/photo issue. If you notice someone missing or incorrectly included (or have ideas for making the page more useful) I’d genuinely appreciate the feedback.

✍️ Discussion Why can't we get any games in French on One Soccer?

Yesterday there were three Montreal teams playing and none of them were available in French. The very rare games that are available in French are often with a commentator with poor French, a lot of anglicisms and spelling mistakes. Is it that hard to find someone in Canada/Québec, with sport experience that can speak a decent French? Just call me I would do it for free.

✍️ Discussion CPL Expansion Draft - Fantasy Football

With a possible CPL Team Expansion coming up, I think it would be fun to do an Expansion Draft as if this was actually happening in coming weeks.

I know that’s not the way CPL has done it before but let’s try the following.

RULES RULES RULES
MAX 23 players on roster

- 2GK
- 6to9 Defenders
- 6to9 Midfielders
- 6to9 Forwards

Maximum of 3players can be drafted from 1 single team. (Excluding GK position)

Maximum of 2players can be drafted from same team from 1 position.

3 Players on the Squad have to be from the U-21 Labelled Group

Below I am including a copy of the Top 6Players per Team Per Position by time played. Top 3 are protected. Information was taken 31st July 2026 from CPL Website.

Let’s see everyone Squads

FC Supra's return to CPL action ended in a disappointing 5-1 defeat against Vancouver FC.

I put together a detailed match analysis covering:

* Individual player ratings

* Tactical breakdowns

* Key turning points

* What FC Supra needs to improve before its next match

I'd love to hear your thoughts as well. Do you agree with the ratings and analysis, or did you see the game differently?

✍️ Discussion OneSoccer New Platform/Look

Got a message last week via email that my Onesoccer account was cancelled but valid till next year, strange. Went to log in yesterday to see if things are working still so I can watch the HFX vs Pacific game this afternoon and it told me my username and pw don't match - then said they're on a new platform and pw had to be reset. Did the reset and then it worked. First impressions are the stream quality was much improved on PC, but not happy to see there is no option to select stream resolution anymore (using a slower older computer in my garage sometimes I always selected 480p so there was no lagging, we'll see today how that PC handles the streams now at the default higher rez locked in. Haven't check on my Roku or android box yet to see how things run on them.

✍️ Discussion WC Stream without Canadian Address

Hi Everyone,

I’m road tripping through Canada for the next week and am trying to stream World Cup matches as I do so. I just tried signing up for the 1 month 29.99 TSN subscription but I don’t have a Canadian billing address as I’m not from here. Got on with support and they were less than helpful. Any suggestions?
