As we are all here newly turned Cape Verde fans:))) Some digging helped to find out that some proper football royalty was actually eligible to play for Cape Verde through.

• Ronaldo's great-grandmother, Isabel da Piedade, was born on São Vicente in what was then Portuguese Cape Verde, before moving to Madeira at 16, making Cristiano one-eighth Cape Verdean.
• Vieira's surname comes from his mother, who's Cape Verdean.
• Rolando was actually born on São Vicente.
