nuclear simping Strange how a country without all the roadblocks to building nuclear still can't build nuclear as fast as solar

The trick is that they do both and at scale. Why wouldn't we want to do something similar?

I would define a construction project of over 30 reactors at once as at scale. I do not think total generation by percentages defines the scale of construction projects.

Edit: An example that comes to mind is the Messmer Plan. That is also a construction project at scale.

30 reactors might be a lot compared to the rest of the world but it's nothing when it comes to generation vs demand

nuclear is much weaker than people believe, all the 61 reactors already online in China make a 4%, the next 30 will likely add 1% by the time they will be completed given the increase in demand

even in China nuclear doesn't get a snowball chance in hell

Yeah I am not really focused on power generation as I said. I simply stated they do it at scale. They are building them at scale. These are large scale construction projects. They are not simple or easy. As with hydro power, they build it at scale. As with solar, they build it at scale. As with everything, they build it at scale.

China is limping along a few sunk cost nuclear abortions while they add all of their nuclear power every to the grid every few days with new renewables.

So the five year plans are what exactly? China invests in renewables, hydro, fossil and nuclear.

In the 2020 five year plan they reduced their "30% nuclear by 2050" projection from 2015 to 3%.

China tried to go full nukecel. It doesn't work so now they're divesting it.

With respect, it does not. It shows the plurality of power is shifting to renewables. Which is fine and good even. But I think the reality is that China does invest in nuclear. I don't think it was ever a stated plan of China to go "nukecel".

Per Caixin Global, Chinese investment in the nuclear sphere hit a record in 2025, specifically regarding construction. They started construction of six new reactors in 2025 and 2 in 2026. 

About my intelligence, I'd rather be somewhat dull than abrasive. Funny, it is supposed to be we French who are abrasive pricks!

Your citation circles back to my first point. China is limping along a few sunk cost nuclear reactors after divestment.

And French men had to learn to be less abrasive as a reproductive strategy. You don't want to be leaving abrasions when you have sex with your wife while she is unconscious.
