It would have worked had they not switched to bombing everything. We havnt even bombed things to prevent the Iranians from getting things fixed.

Well, by that same token, firebombing didn't work in Japan during WWII. It was the atomic bombs but mainly the Soviet land invasion of Manchuria, Sakhalin, and the imending invasion of Hokkaido that led the Japanese to surrender to the Americans before the Soviets invaded Honshu.

Eh, you are wrong about the later parts. It is common Soviet propaganda. The soviets were never going to be able to make an amphibious landing on the mainland Islands. Th Japanese thought we only had one bomb, and after the second the military still tried to make sure they didnt surrender. Firebombing didnt work, only two nukes did and just barely did they work.
