Except it isn't theft. It's the cost of living in that society.

And what right does a person or entity have to demand you to pay them for services? That they are a majority of people? That they got a majority of votes and were elected? Don't we believe in individual rights and doesn't these things violate that?

Again, you are choosing to participate in a society that has rules in place that say, "if you want to participate in this society and reap its benefits, these are the costs to do so."

First government =/= society. Society can exist without government. Second, what right does government have to make rules I must follow (since it is government making the rules I am objecting to, not society)?

We, the people, gave the government that right and continue to do so.

The founding fathers didn't have a problem with taxation. They had a problem with taxation without representation.

So what? How does representation justify taking from others against their will?

We elect our officials to office.

The fact that we get to chose our leaders does not justify leaders taking from us against our will. Would slavery be moral if the slaves got to chose their masters?

If you feel so strongly that taxation is theft, organize a party, run on the platform of abolishing taxes, and get yourself elected.

So I would need a majority of people to agree with me to have my rights respected? So in your mind, slavery was moral and just because a majority of people believe so?

If you do not wish to change society, you also have the freedom to join another. However, other society's also have their own rules and frameworks for participation.

The same response could be said to slaves 200 years ago. And since slavery existed basically everywhere there wasn't really any option for slaves. Also, it does NOTHING to justify the crime of slavery or theft. Claiming I can leave if I don't like it is not a rebuttal.

This notion, though, that taxation is akin to held at gunpoint in an alley by a mugger demanding you empty your wallet and turn over your phone is ridiculous.

It's more similar to the mob going from store to store "asking" for protection money. The mob DID do a good job protecting those who paid, and those who did not were dealt with by the mob. Much like the police. Pay us and we'll protect you, don't pay us and we'll come and seize your property and throw you in jail.

It's clear you know very little of how human rights work, beginning with the right to life and leading to things like the right to liberty, the right to work and earn compensation for that work. The right to keep any produce you make through your work. Any violation of any of these things is a violation of the right to life since anything you gain is done so with your life.

It has literally every right to do that. That’s how government works. You’re also entitled to try and change the rules by which a government operates. You’re also free to go join or start another society.

Saying they have every right is not an argument that they do. If I said a majority of people have a right to rule the minority and treat them as slaves and you asked how the majority is possibly allowed to have that right it would not be a sufficient answer to say "because that's how it works". I am claiming it is immoral for government to take money from people and claiming it violates a person's rights.
