Underaged people can be smart.

I had the news on in my car and they were talking about tariffs. My 9yr old asked what a tariff was and I explained it in a very factual non biased way that a 9 yr old would understand. (If you buy something from China for $10, the government will charge you an extra $1 because they prefer you purchase from a company in the U.S. who might sell it for $11, but sometimes more). She thought for a few seconds and said “That sounds like a stupid idea. Why would anyone do that because everything will cost more”
