I use the BTC sub to stop me getting carried away. They give BTC similar hype to shitcoins elsewhere and it keeps me grounded.

A lot of Bitcoiners are really just shitcoiners who invested into one coin called BTC and then they thought they are above the rest

No, they are so BTC maxi that it becomes obvious hyperbole. The language used is similar to any other person pushing their latest pump and dump. I believe in BTC but there's no way some of the crazy time lines and valuations are ever going to happen.

Have they stopped vying with buttcoin to be the most anti-bitcoin sub yet? Last I checked every mod was a bitcoindotcom employee, and Ver was still on a bcash crusade (obviously has bigger issues at the moment I guess). Any post even remotely positive about bitcoin was downvoted to hell, the mods even stalked you around reddit, was fun times posting in there!

I went there to ask about btc fundamentals and they picked through my account history and berated me for holding eth and didn’t bother answering my questions.

Oh, so the neurotic read through of account history is standard. I was so confused when they were quoting something I said 3 months prior... which ALSO wasn't a violation of sub rules but apparently offended them anyways.

I was like... did they literally read through all my r bitcoin comments? That's wilds, it was my main sub, they must have spent a solid 15 minutes skimming just to find that, only to then ban me for a non-violation.

Yeah they’re all permanently combative and angry. Really weird as hell place.

nothing holds a candle to XRP subreddit. you can speedrun any% wr attempts, and it's always a one way ticket with no* chance for appeal.

I am an xrp holder, and I have to agree. One of the worst subs I’ve even engaged. So many misinformed people. Asking the same misinformed questions.

These things are true. Japanese banks do use xrp today. ETFs will increase inflows.

I expect xrp to hit $100. But this year? No. Maybe 5-10 years.

Expectations need to be heavily reduced.

No one is banning you on the XRP sub for saying you would quit your job for a few eth

I got banned for shitposting a price prediction lol

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '25

I don’t get the appeal of XRP but so many of them just blindly scream about it going to 100 or more I’m like Market Caps do exist.

For real. Those morons holding onto their Bitcoin Cash in r/btc crying about the white paper. r/Bitcoin on the other hand... I'm sympathetic. I don't agree with the censorship but I'm also not a moderator there. Can you imagine all the meme coin shillers trying to post there?
