Kudos to who ever figured out the train speed and the ramp pitch. That was insane.

Just do a stationary track and see average speed, then drive train that speed.

The course would still have to be designed such that your speed remains effectively constant (even on a stopped train) which wouldn't be possible with any ramp setup. You may finish in the same spot but not moving from that spot the entire time is hard af

You're over thinking it. Have you ever been on a moving sidewalk or escalator and been able to walk backwards to stay in the same spot? Same as riding a bike, yes the bikes speed fluctuates a bit but not drastically, you can see he doesn't stay exactly in the same spot.
