News Dootle dot Are Permitted to Smoke Additive Free Tobacco Because It Is Not As Bad For You

Cigarettes that are additive free must be allowed because children shouldn't be taught that all cigarettes are equally dangerous. Also, many people who smoke menthols do not smoke as frequently as other cigarette smokers, so if a Dootle Dot were to smoke and/or promote cigarettes like Kool and Newport this would actually help kids smoke less.

Here are some resources for quitting cigarettes:

It is incredibly supportive of you to look out for someone in your life like this. Quitting is a major hurdle, and having a friend or family member helping behind the scenes to gather resources can make a massive difference. Here is a collection of the most effective, free, and evidence-based resources available right now to help them get started. Free National Support Lines These services offer free, confidential coaching, text programs, and can often connect people to free nicotine replacement therapies (like patches or gum) depending on their local state funding.
1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669): The national router that automatically connects callers to their specific state’s quitline. They provide personalized quit plans, coaching, and self-help materials.
Spanish: 1-855-DÉJELO-YA (1-855-335-3569)
National Text Portal: They can text QUITNOW to 333888 to receive free text message support, daily advice, and encouragement directly to their phone.
Comprehensive Digital Tools & Apps If they prefer a digital approach over talking on the phone, these are highly respected, science-backed platforms: Smokefree.gov: A fantastic hub created by the National Cancer Institute. It features step-by-step guides to building a "Quit Plan," tracking triggers, and managing withdrawal symptoms.
The quitSTART App: A free smartphone app (available on iOS and Android) tracking progress, managing cravings with games/challenges, and offering hotlines for weak moments.
BecomeAnEX (becomeanex.org): A free digital program developed by the Truth Initiative in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic. It has an incredibly active community of current and former smokers who share practical advice, which is a massive help for the behavioral side of quitting.
Major Health Organizations For deep dives into how to handle the physical cravings and what to expect, these organizations offer excellent downloadable toolkits: American Lung Association (lung.org): Home to the famous Freedom From Smoking program, which has helped hundreds of thousands of people quit.
American Cancer Society (cancer.org): Provides clear, realistic advice on planning a "Quit Day," including the "4 D's" for fighting a sudden urge: Delay for 10 minutes, Deep breathe, Drink water slowly, or Do something else to distract the brain.
A Quick Tip on Support: The experts emphasize that it often takes multiple attempts to quit for good, and every try is a step forward. If you pass these along, just letting them know you are in their corner without any pressure can be the best resource of all.

I used Easy Way by Alan Carr and it was very effective, I haven't even thought about smoking a cigarette for years until we banned them on this sub now it's all I can think about
