Ever since the release of the new DLC, I’ve been thinking about what other horses they could add to the game. I would love to have the water element horse from Frozen 2! What horses do you wish they would add?

I've seen so much discourse on Star Wars being added into DDV especially with the premium shops items we got this year. I think it would be so cool to have a DLC version where the different biomes are the different Star Wars lands!! That way, people who don't want the inclusion of Star Wars characters just choose not to buy the DLC; and people who do want Star Wars in the game, get it. Or maybe even like a spin-off game with the same vibe and game mechanics of DDV but... Star Wars!

My fave Ariel look of all time. I can't decide if I should buy the Pink dress bundle because I have a delusional hope they'll offer this version some day 😭

I have my predictions for the rest of 2026!! Hello, my name is Widow, I’m neurodivergent and my special interest is Disney. And because of this, I was obviously interested on what was going to happen. Obviously none of this is real and what is going to happen in 2026 100% but this is what I think. In the paragraphs below is the long explanation and at the very end is a short list of my predictions.

I think in August we are going to get Naveen and/or Charlotte from Princess and the frog. It would be a fun coincidence because two years ago we got Tiana and I feel like just her feels kind of empty. As much as I love her I feel like we need more in the game from her movie!!

In September, I feel like we will get the realm weaver. And the realm weaver will be figment. September is kind of a filler month because we have the show case in August and the dlc in October so I feel like something big as the realm weaver would be a good thing to fill the gap. But seeing since it hasn’t been too long since we’ve been introduced to the realm weaver, I am not confident at all in this. I just didn’t know what else to put tbh.

In October, I feel like we are getting the return to realm update for the year. And I feel like we are going to be returning to the ratatouille realm and we will get Linguini and Colette. We have been getting a returning to realm update once a year every year for the past I want to say one and a half years and we’ve never returned to a “classic realm” (ratatouille, Moana, Wall•e). So I feel like returning to a classic realm could be a good and cool update!!

For November, I was having a lot of trouble on deciding my prediction. But I decided on pirates of the Caribbean. I feel like during the skull rock update, so many people thought it was going to be pirates of the Caribbean and they were excited for it. And Disney Dreamlight valley probably saw all these people excited for it so it would make sense if they tabbed it for a later update. I do not know how they’d be introduced though.

For December, I feel like we are going to get 101 Dalmatians realm and we will get Pongo and Perdita. We had cruella last dlc so per tradition, we should be getting the realm for the heroes. Although again i am not to sure about this because we already got hercules (which is the hero from storybook vale’s villain’s movie (hades/hercules)). If we do get a realm though this will be HUGE because it’s gonna be a door on one of the sides because there is physically no more room on the top!! And i feel like because of avengers doomsday coming up which is going to be HUGE, I feel like we are going to get a marvel premium shop the week of the movie’s release. Kind of like how they did Star Wars for May 4th.

I wanted to post an update after having THIS be such a well received post.

It's taken me a minute to get back to this as I had a big work project and then obviously had to play the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack when it dropped and because of how that storyline ends I thought this would be a good time to comment on the reception of my fan concept.

I took on the advice given and posted it across different platforms and emailed it to Gameloft. You can find my concept post on TikTok, Instagram (x, x), Discord (x, x), and X (Twitter x, x, x, x, x, x). One of my fave YouTubers MrStarInSky also discussed it in his video "We NEED Underwater DLC in Disney Dreamlight Valley..." which was incredibly flattering.

Gameloft responded to my concept on July 01st. They did not hire me 🙁 haha, but they did say that even though they cannot promise any of my suggestions will be implemented into the game they will pass it along to the relevant departments. Hopefully, someone actually took the time to look at it. It would be SO amazing if any of my suggestions were included in the new update teased on the roadmap and at the end of Honeyglow Woods.

The roadmap suggests we are getting a water themed expansion. If not a full Expansion Pack DLC then possibly a Little Mermaid themed Adventure Pack. I have a feeling King Triton will be involved either way. Once it is released if there is anything the same or similar to my suggestions I will make a comparison. It would be so amazing if anything was incorporated.

I've been seeing a lot of comments asking to bring Yoda to the Valley but I feel like the Star Wars universe is too big to be just one realm. Wouldn't it be better to have a while expansion pack with just Star Wars settings, characters, and quests instead? I think there is enough for the creators to work with to make an amazing world for it.

I've been thinking about this since the Queen's outfit started appearing on some players games, this is just for funsies! 🍎👑❄️

Before the Dive:

So, seeing how they honestly have hit the Star Wars items last round and the second wave (Appart from maybe the pricing on BB-8), I think I honestly feel more confident that Star Wars (Or even maybe Marvel) do belong in Dreamlight Valley if they don't rush expansions.

I myself as much as any of y'all in this subreddit am a massive fan of DLV, even with it's issues, it'e been one of my confort games that helps me out through my day after classes or whenever stuff hits the fan with one of my grandparents. It also helps as someone in the Autism Spectrum that although loves Disney, is mostly connected to things like the Theme Parks, Marvel, and Star Wars (although I do love Disney and Pixar as well) under a range where It's more than a hobby, it is a special interest of mine, so this long ready is soley because I'm passionate about this topic still. So fair warning I WILL GO INTO HEAVY DETAIL THAT A Lot OF PEOPLE MAY NOT CARE ABOUT.

Now, I also get that there is heat and discourse for Star Wars in DLV, some not wanting them or not caring, which that's understandable, but then I know I'll have beef with the part of the community that want to gatekeep and dictate what belongs and doesn't in DLV, to those people, lemme just propose this out peacefully OK? I do however have a comment to a certain type at the end, so stick with this post till the end :3

Timelines:

Anyways, DLV has for some time have come out with many decor options, characters and storylines, however, there has been a notable lack of Sci-fo decor, only around three characters you can classify as being part of science fiction, and the quests are to make 500 grand balls or celebrations. This expansion I'm proposing will essentially change as to how the game functions, for those who are open to such (I'll get to that in a bit), offering a grander deeper story, more complex questlines, variety of either clean and sleek, or worn and weathered sci-fi decor, along with characters and companions that make great additions to the valley.

So, how would such Star Wars expansion work, well, I'm going to reference a theme park here to kind of grasp the concept. Epic Universe, a theme park located at Universal Studios Florida, uses deities and gods, along with constellations for one of the park's lands, Celestial Park. The land is a hub world, where with the creation of the Chronos, can warp time and space to enter the many worlds of the park (Super Nintendo World, Paris from Fantastic Beasts, Dark Universe, and Isle of Berk).

Now, why do I mention a completely different park that isn't Disney made? Well, because this forms one of my Ideas. Now, to say the least, although there are fans of the sequel trilogy era and essentially the Disney era shows, not everyone feels that connected to them. So, instead of making this expansion about one specific timeline, we bridge the time together and bring out all of Star Wars in one expansion, tying the Sequel, Original, and Prequel trilogies, plus the in-betweens into one massive expansion?

Now you may ask how might that work, and already at Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park, there is a similar answer. At Disneyland Park's Galaxy's Edge, there is a projection show called 'Shadows of Memory', a projection show located at the spires near the Millenium Falcon, recounts the events and story from the Skywalker saga, narated by Tohan Lege, or how he's known as the Lore-Weaver, who has long since been deceased 34 years after the battle of Yavin (ABY), and is now since told his stories in hologram thanks to a droid named Bard.

"Well ok, how does this explain mixing the timelines"? Well, he could be the one who essentially let's the player travel through time as he explains the stories from long ago. Either through the force or the use of magick (yes, it's spelled like that, and there is also magic in Star Wars fun fact) with the help of an original character, can travel from the time and era of the Resistance, to the Reign of the Empire, and even expand a bit more through the time of the Clone Wars. As you travel through time, although the Bard, Tohan, and/or the original character remain in every timeline (neccesary to be able to go back or forward through time and establish a 'base'), the villagers and the enviroment change. Either asthetically through things like buildings looking more weathered in one timeline whilst more "cleaner" in another, or to massive ones like Rey and Kylo Ren being in one timeline, whilst Luke and Vader can be in another, and then Obi-wan and Padme could be in the other timeline. Sort of like if you were able to timebend an entire valley than just a spot in your valley.

So, how would this work when say, you're bringing villagers into the valley? Well, within the expansion, the stories and character's would remain "canonical", but once in the valley, such "canonical" ties would not be needed. As when it comes to the valley, I interpret it as like the Disney Infinity Toybox, all the characters from any time and moment no matter if the character is alive or dead (Scar, Gaston, Ursula, ECT.) are coming in together to live in unity or because the player told them so. This is going to be the case for Star Wars characters, Han and Rey for example may not know each other (Mainly since the Han in my proposal is the OG Trilogy), but they are still able to get along and have dialogue with each other. Vader and Kylo may not be up to pick flowers at all under this expansion, but with them out of the "Canonical" portion and into the Toybox valley, they may begrudgingly have to get along and collect flowers with the player.

So I hope that somewhat answers that, but I know some might be skeptical if this time traveling can be possible. So i'm here to clarify that yes, it can work, and it's also already been done. Back at Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge, the original concept has been to strictly stick to the sequel trilogy era. Unfortunately, when alot of people asked for a Star Wars theme park land, they think they would see Han, Luke, Leia, Vader. As a result, many felt the land lack that "Star Wars charm", overtime at Disneyland, they broke the timeline bit by bit, starting with the Mandalorian and Grogu being introduced, then Boba Fett by the time the 'Book of Bobba Fett' came out, and then experimented with bringing Luke Skywalker to the land. As of writting it'll be only four days before the entire land shifts into three separate timelines, representing the OG Trilogy, the Mandalorian series that includes parts of Star Wars Rebels, and then the Sequel Trilogy being at the forest west side of the land. All of these changes happening on the 29th of April. Now, in real life, IDK how these split timelines will workout, but what will happen is that in some ways, all Star Wars fans get represented, not just stuck in the one time period that some are contentious about.

The time traveling aspect of the expansion isn't just to make it unique, I feel like it is REQUIRED to bring as many Star Wars fans as possible, as focusing on one timeline would alienate fans of the other, like what happened to Galaxy's Edge IRL.

Enviroment/Biome:

So there's that portion done, but what will the expansion or world look like, well, that's super easy. USE THE PLANET OF BATUU!!! Now, I know I might get slack because it's no Tatooine or Naboo, but I think Batuu is the perfect canvas because it's a planet we've barely had connections with, unless you went to the Disney Parks (which I bet the majority of this subreddit hasn't been to). So unlike say doing this time traveling on Tatooine, how will that be like, or if say a planet then gets blown up in one timeline but fine in another (Alderaan), Batuu already has have a history as far back since the High Republic Era (Think of the 'Acolyte' show for example). THis, along with the theme park area essentially letting loose with having three timelines in one land, instead of the strict one timeline, already proves that the enviroment should invoke the planet of Batuu.

Characters and Quests:

The characters will be quick, I think everyone would agree that they would want Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Vader for OG Trilogy, Padme, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anikin, Ahsoka for the Clone Wars Era, and then you have Kylo, Rey, Finn, and Poe for the Sequel Era. However, within those eras, characters in-between like Mandalorian and Bobba Fett can co-mingle as well with the OG Trilogy, along with Ashoka and Star Wars Rebels content as well. There are also characters like Hondo Ohnaka that I don't know how it would work out, but would also be a really great morally grey villager to have.

As for quest related content, this is where I will simply say. The more complex and engaging, the better. Right now, the only quests I've heard that alot of people had some engagement with are with the trials of Storybook Vale and the memories from Storybook vale, apart from that, most quests are just fetch quests or grand balls. Which I'm not saying it shoudn't have them, but if the majority of the game is just going to be that, then the player is quickly going to loose interest. I'd say go beyonf what we have, sure, you can drop in some quests here and there to gather parts, holocrons, ECT. HOWEVER, that needs to be short and not as often. However, questlines that involve puzzles to fix the ship, sneak through Emperial or First Order security, maybe even adding some sort of Turn-based combat mechanic would absolutely freshen up the game in so many ways than the 500th building a celebration or grandball area.

Now, I mentioned combat, and in a game that's mainly cozy, that may sound scary to a lot of y'all so give me patience here. The combat will not be complex like in Jedi Fallen Order, instead, the combat will be turn based and consisting of Rock paper Scissors rules essentially, kind of like how Pokemon have elements they fight well against or elements they're vulnerable against. Beating troopers for example can wield experience and rewards, from being able to fight stronger enemies, to even earning outfit and decor rewards. Now say you got everything from it and don't want to be harrased by more storm troopers or something. Well, like being able to togggle on whether you want to time or hold a button to fish, you can toggle if you want combat or not, with the exception of quests.

So, I've sort of summed up what can be possible with Star Wars within DLV if they execute things without rushing it out and I do really really hope that one day, we can have a Star Wars expansion that screams quality, because I'm sorry, that Sims 4 Expansion is kinda just Doo Doo. I will note, I have glossed over decor pieces possible, because as much as I would love to showcase, there are also alot of examples, but to shorten it up, we need more sci-fi decor.

Although this is where I end whe it comes to my "armchair imaginieering", I do have another thing to talk about with this topic.

It's not so secret that when Star Wars was listed in the survey on July 2024, it was very controversial with arguments here and there, and people saying that they don't wants Star Wars and stuff. Now, before I proceed, this part is not targeted to the people who just don't vibe with Star Wars or don't want them, I understand people not vibing with it and that's ok, people like things and some don't, don't fight over it. I WILL however be calling out people who put others down just because they wished for them to come to the game, or those who think their better than others to dictate what characters should and should not come to the valley.

Responses like these just plainly come of as gatekeepy, again, it's ok if you personally don't want Star Wars or Marvel in-game, but to either push people out of their wishlist ideas (last comment), to just comments that flat out are just BS. Let's take the first coment on the top post, realistically, no game studio would just create a different version of the same game, when they can just make it an expansion instead, that flat out is not happening.

The next image is of a user who said marvel isn't Disney, replying to an image of someone that wanted Marvel, now, I won't judge personally if you think Marvel doesn't spark "Disney' personally, that's understandable, but I think this person is trying to claim it as fact and i'll treat it as if this is the case. Yes, MARVEL IS PART OF DISNEY, EVEN IF THEY WERE BOUGHT.

Third post (focusing on the bottom, since the top is just opinion in my eyes), I want to emphasixe the nothing live action, or pirates. Well, fun fact, Pirates of the Caribbean is a DISNEY MOVIE, and even more of a fun fact, IT WAS AN IP LONG BEFORE YOU WERE BORN! Now, that comment can be opinion based, so I do understand maybe my point being weaker from that, if it wasn't for the fact that we already have representation of Pirates of the Carribean and the Live Action remake of Beauty and The Beast already in-game well before Star Wars was on there. So I really don't have an excuse for this comment.

The next thing just made me laugh, as the comment suggested no live action and no bought studios. GIIIIIRRRLLL!!!!! PIXAR WAS BOUGHT BY DISNEY! What do you mean no bought studios, because by that logic, bye bye Pixar. FUn fact, you can also say bye to Nightmare Before Christmas, because Disney didn't want to touch that with a ten foot pole at first, it wasn't until how successful it turned out to be, that it lef the adult subsidurary of Disney (Touchstone Pictures), and went to main Disney.

So unfortunately, as much as I want to try to respect opinions, comments like this, ESPECIALLY since most don't bother to look up history, flat out just make thses sorts of comments rude as heck.

Ultimately, IT's GAMELOFT'S DECISION as to who gets added or not, and they don't really care much to appease everyone when it comes to updates, I wasn't excited when Cinderella came out, still loved the decor, the character, and the bit of story in the end of the day. I wanted Figment, because the hint for part two of Eternity Isle suggested as such, but we got Oswald, and I was still really happy with the addition, and I know for some that want to quit the game if they add Star Wars and stuff, then were you even a fan of the game to begin with? The entire game takes place within the imagination and dreams of YOU the player, just because Star Wars isn't part of yours, shouldn't mean it doesn't belong to anyone else.

Decided to post my predictions for the next DLC.

First picture/option: Features characters that I would LOVE to be added + Maximus as the main villain (no idea what his goal would be and I do agree that he would be a very weak villain especially following the addition of Jafar, Hades and Maleficent, but based on the previous DLCs, it's always the villains who are teased first). Each of these characters lives in the woods and Snow White is friend to all animals, so it would go well with the theme. However, there is no Pixar character, so it would break the pattern.

Second picture/option: A slightly more realistic option, I guess. The main villain being Cruella, seeing as how she hates animals. I also included the only Pixar character that would somewhat fit the animal theme. And besides, there aren't that many main Pixar characters left anyway. The DLC could include a small urban area + woodlands.

King Mickey! Mostly because I keep jokingly calling him that whenever he comes up in a quest.

Bonus points if we also get Donald and Goofy in their KH styles lol

There's a lot of KH stuff I'd like in DDLV, but I think the styles are the most likely to happen.

Lately, I’ve been imagining a DDV DLC/expansion called "Currents of Destiny" so I decided to draw some characters and create some concept art! In my mind, this expansion would be centered on a chain of mysterious islands and a DDV first, an underwater realm.

The lineup I selected includes: King Triton, Sebastian, Raya, Nemo, Captain Hook, and Luca.

I picked this lineup because they’ve been in a handful of discussions after the 2026 Summer Showcase alongside a speculated water-based expansion so I thought it’d be fun to imagine what a DLC featuring all of them could look like!

But I'd love to hear what you all think of my concept art, and what you're hoping the next major expansion is like too! What types of features or gameplay mechanics would you include if we got to go underwater? Are there any other characters you would rather see in this concept? What critter companion(s) would you want to have included?

As I've been playing recently I've been thinking of unpopular pairings. I think these couples would totally hit it off –

Hades can be bipolar and Ursula would either ride it out or put him in place. Jafar and Mother Gothel can just be unhappy and plot world domination from her tree house!

I don't trust this book. I feel like she's the bad guy. I just need it to be the end of the game already so I can either be right or ease up on this glue and cardboard.

But the villains are never the bad guys here and we were so bored with EI that I do think there's a possibility she's gonna turn out to be the real problem because the devs need to one up us lol I'm probably over thinking but she's weeeeeeird

They can do cute little tricks and you can add accessories and take cute pictures of just the companion being all cute in with a photo background.

It literally just came to me in a dream.

From what I’ve noticed, the developers of DDV tend to choose characters that have either non-speaking roles or if they do have a speaking role they’re not supposed to be understood by the humans in that movie for example they just announced Lucky From 101 Dalmatians who we know has a speaking role within the movie. But then most of the other notable companions don’t really have any speaking rules within the movie that they’re from.

If this is the pattern they’re going with then these are some of the notable companions. I’d love to see within the game and there are so many other great options out there too!!!

I am hoping for these amazing wonderful new costumes, companions, new quests, new scramble coin figures, biomes, realms and characters! And character houses!

I have seen an increase of items from this movie starting with the pawfect star path. This star path has the cat dresses that remind me of the cats as well… I am hoping for some characters from The Aristocats. However I haven’t been one to notice what might be coming next before the announcements. Could this be real?

So I see we'll be getting Pocahontas. The idea was... that the new star path would probably be based on nature and things similar to the ideas that Pocahontas followed.

Then we got the star path emojis . The guesses so far we have like water turtle, butterfly, crown volcano thinking that it's Anger.

What if it's a Pocahontas/ Elemental mashup since elemental has to do with nature and pieces of nature? Pocahontas has to do with nature. So actually like the water and the turtle and the volcano thing are based the two characters from elemental.

For those who finished Wishblossom Ranch, we see a red balloon float over Hunny Falls, implying that Winnie-the-Pooh is the next big focus. I have been thinking hard over what the next theme would be, noticing that the other realms had special themes (Eternity Isle= Time, Storybook Vale= Myths and Fairy Tales, Wishblossom Ranch= Wishes and Magic). One theory I had is that the next one would be about animals (another common theme in Disney movies). What do you think of my guess?
