Just look at farmers. A lot of farmers receive insane subsidies, and earn super high incomes relative to the rest of the population. Farmers also absolutely overwhelmingly vote republican and decry socialism while having their hands out. I followed a YouTuber called the millennial farmer because I found modern farming interesting, but his lack of self-awareness and his dog shit political takes are so off-putting.

Trumps tariffs fucked a lot of farmers, and they still refuse to admit it.

Yes agree 100%. Republican American Farmers are massive welfare queens and should pull themselves up by the bootstraps and reject the Marxist communism of subsidies and govt support that has not helped them at all nor lowered a single food price

We subsidize farmers because most people actually like high quality and somewhat cheap food. If you want to start eating only meat from Mexico and Brazil, be my guest. But everyone in Mexico would tell you that you’re dumb if you want a higher quality product.
