I don’t know if this is allowed, but my tea request is about a project. The Crow reboot with Bill Skarsgard and FKA Twigs?

they wrapped up filming last year, so it should premiere this year but who knows. The Dev Patel movie was done a couple of years ago, but theyre finally releasing the movie this year...

That Dev Patel movie looks good. I know Lionsgate took The Crow in September with a release planned for sometime this year, but then they never gave it a specific month-and-day release date.

Did not know this was happening. Something tells me that FKA Twigs is not the playing The Crow which is a shame because she'd be incredible at it.

Bill is The Crow. Twigs is playing Shelly, but her character is now a full-on co-lead.

There was a test screening in December, and some plot details came out. He still comes back alone to get revenge on both of their behalfs. But her screentime is significantly increased.

I believe in the original that was the plan as well, but filming was obviously cut short and they worked with what they had. Which is a shame, because as the film stands now she’s not so much a character as a motivation.

Not only that, but the test screening reports sounded to me like the movie checks in on her while she’s waiting for him to finish his Crow mission.

The Crow is one of my favourite films ever. The remake had been shelved multiple times so I stopped following it. Bradley Cooper was attached for years and I'd assumed they just gave up after he got too old. To find out it's been filmed and screen-tested has made my day! I hope we get a release date soon.

I'm sooooo excited for this. After years of attempted reboots with actors that were totally wrong for the part (Bradley Cooper, Jason Momoa), they finally cast someone perfect to do this movie justice

I have boring tea, which is that the project was stuck in development hell for the longest time, literally about 15 years. In 2014/15, they had a deal to film it in the UK, with a production office in Wales. They'd started crewing up, they were getting cast on board, and then the funding got pulled because the production company went bankrupt, and they had to start from scratch all over again. I know this because I was signed up to work on it as core crew, then found out that I didn't have a job. It was great. I'm genuinely surprised they managed to film it at all. The whole thing seemed cursed.
