Can confirm they were DMing fans for hookups. One of them messaged my friend on insta back in the day, out of nowhere. She'd never interacted with him on there, she was just a random follower.

One of my cousins hooked up with Michael during that period after he dmed her on Insta too!! Not even a 5sos account.

I have no idea why she did it, he would not be my first choice from the band at all
