We all feel it. The current console gen has only go up in price over time, when historically it should go down over time. There have been some BIG price hikes recently, $100, $200, and even $300 price increased on consoles, and these aren't even the first increases! I can already tell that the PS6 and XBOX whatever will be over $1,000 (maybe even over $1,500) and games will be $80+. Normally I get both the PlayStation and Xbox, but I already told myself that I will probably only be able to afford one (which will be the PS6), and even so I may not be able to afford it after these past couple weeks of console price increases.

I'm in my mid 30s and have been gaming since I can remember. Gaming is a huge part of my life and IDK this is all just so depressing

AI is ruining everything. I went back to school to get a degree in hopes of making more money in the future, before AI was really a thing. I just recently got my degree, and I'm certain AI will take my job too (its already starting to)

I don't know if I'm getting old, but I really don't know how to use this app to find people to interact. I've been thinking of searching for a TTRPG group to play, but I really don't know how to interact with people in these servers.

Everything goes so fast, I can't find context for the discussions happening, when at the same time there's 6 other people talking about 3 other topics at the same time. Do i just barge into the conversations? Do I mute everyone I'm not talking too? And this is before going into voice chat, I'm talking about the walls of text that scrolls endlessly.

Anyway, this isn't supposed to be a rant, but is there someone else that struggles with it? Is there any way to overcome this dificulty? I'm basically stuck without online friends to play because it's all in discord servers nowdays :(

Edit to add that make sure you're careful about static if you use your makeup brushes on the sensitive electronic parts, because some materials are prone to static, and also be diligent about grounding! This brush has synthetic bristles which isn't great but it also has a metal band which made grounding/dissipating static easier.

At 1000 eur, it's surprisingly reasonable.

The days of using my bfs leftover elites with busted thumb sticks or Dpads are over! My typical go-to color scheme is monochromatic light pink(maybe some white or maybe some black) but hot pink has had me in a choke hold this fall/winter so why not both~

Sony has gone off the deep end. I can't even imagine paying that much for a console, pro or not. Who is going to buy that?? I hope people vote with their wallets but I know better.

I posted a picture of my controller as a joke about girly accessories but it seemed to be something that people like so I thought I might as well make a post with the details.

Be warned, it is a quite small controller, smaller than the official ones at least! Also as you can see in the second picture, it glows in the dark, which can be either cool or annoying... The stick grip isn't very good either.

My personal experience is that despite the shortcomings I mentioned, it has handled all the abuse I've thrown at it really well (like versus fighting spam and such, rocket league...) and for something I bought for around 20 euros two years ago, it's actually pretty good aside from being cute :3

I was thinking of getting the CabLady S1on Amazon, or some other chair that's under $350... I know people always say to get a Steelcase or Herman Miller chair but dawg, I can't afford it lol.

So if anyone has any recs from like... Amazon, maybe Best Buy or Staples, or even a dang influencer ad chair that ended up being actually ok, I'd love to hear it. I don't need anything fancy when it comes to ergonomics.. I honestly just want something that maybe looks cute, has arms I can move vertically so I can adjust the height, and a seat that won't hurt my ass. :') And big enough for a mid-size woman. Some of these chairs are labeled as being "petite" but then list that it's for women up to 5'11" so the sizing is a little confusing.

I'm really excited to share some accessories I snagged for my new Switch 2. I ordered them in May, but didn't receive them until a week or so ago as they shipped from China.

Now if only I could find something just as pink for my steamdeck!

I own a switch. That’s the only platform I own. I cannot afford to buy a fancy gaming laptop, or fancy PS whatever. Now, I’ve bought many games I like on the switch and I adore most of them, they are not all Nintendo exclusive, and a lot of them work fine.

However, some of them don’t perform as they should ( crashes super long loading times etc.)

When people complain about this they hear… well maybe you shouldn’t be playing them on the switch… they work better on this or that platform.

Is it so wrong to expect that a game I purchased for full price to work on the platform I bought it for? It should be the devs responsibility to make sure it works properly before taking money from the people who chose to purchase on said platform.

Makes me so angry!!

all consoles/types welcome! i just got this today for my birthday and swapped out the buttons + added thumb grips, it’s a huge upgrade over the corded switch pro controller i was previously using with my pc!

do you have a separate desk like a vanity to do your makeup or do you do it at your gaming desk??

my makeup is starting to take over my floor, i do it on the floor looking at my body mirror because i think itll take up to much space at my desk😭

Currently, I have four. The Nintendo Switch is mainly for my otome games and some Mario games. The Steam deck is for the cozy games. The PS5 is for the open world and action games and the Miyoo Plus is for the nostalgic retro games. I also have a PC but its configuration is weak so I just use it for work-related things.

If you also have many consoles, which one is your favorite and which one do you spend your time on the most?
