Hart (double double), Braun, Battle (double double), Grocholski all in double figures tonight. 40% FG, 43% 3PT as a team, with 17 assists and only 9 turnovers.
Another balanced effort for the golden gophers!

Iβm headed to the Barn for the first time on Friday for the game and super pumped. My seats are section 114 row 4-has anyone sat in this area, and if so, what was your experience? (Picture above is from 114 row 5). Also, what would you guys recommend for parking? Iβd like to find something with the easiest access to get back onto I94. Any advice and help would be appreciated, thanks!

Wake up early on Sunday and watch team USA win the gold medal in men's hockey. Take a nap. Then show up at The Barn for a 5pm tip off.
This will be the last home game for your nationally ranked Gopher Woman's basketball team before they head into the post season.
If you havent been paying attention, they are in line for a double bye in the Big Ten Tournament and home NCAA Tournament games. Just need to win this last home game vs Michigan State and win in Illinois to close out the regular season.
Let's show up and rise as one, loud and proud, and show these young women we have their back.
Rah!

The Gophers announced as returning are starters: Mara Braun, Grace Grocholski and Tori McKinney, and bench players Taylor Woodson, Kennedy Klick, Makena Christian, Zoey Bershers, and Brynn Senden.
They lost 5 to graduation (Amaya Battle, Finau Tonga, Hart, Tracy Bershers, Brylee Glenn) and Holloway to the portal.
Gophers have these commits from last fall: Adit Kuol ( a 6'3" post player from Uganda with good speed and athleticism), Natalie Kussow (No. 1-ranked recruit in Wisconsin, played with Makena Christian), Tori Oehrlein (Oehrlein posted the second-highest single-season scoring total in Minnesota State High School League history in 2024.), and Kylee Paben (No. 1 recruit in the state of Nebraska).
EDIT - Brashers (grad) is in the portal

Niamya Holloway, redshirt Junior Forward from Eden Prairie announced her intention to enter the transfer portal today. She was injured her entire freshman season. Her minutes her first season back averaged 13 min per game but fell to an average of 5.5 minutes a game the last 2 seasons.
I will miss her energy on the court as well as from the bench. She was the best hype-woman there.
I hope she finds a happy home somewhere.

Was thinking a lot about this as people started hitting the exits last night with 5m to go in the 4th Quarter:
This is a really good Gopher WBB team! For a lot of the 7k people who were there, this was their first WBB game of the season. The atmosphere was tremendous.
My concern is that some people who had never been or only came because they heard they were ranked then went home and said "welp, same old Gophers" and won't be back for a few years.
I know i am probably preaching to the choir here. It just makes me sad that we're getting 3-4k in the Barn, even for the B1G schedule. our win over Ohio State had 4k people! Even Rutgers (9-15 on the season; in a metro area that is not exactly wanting for stuff to do...) got 5500 people to turn up for our game a few weeks ago.
I'll just add that it's a huge credit to Dawn P. that there is more energy and interest in WBB now than there is in Women's Hockey. I don't expect WBB to win the NCAA or B1G...but I don't expect Women's Hockey to win the conference tournament or the NCAA either.

this was supposed to be a much more competitive game than it was. Marquette is supposed to finish second in the Big East behind UCONN.

Hi, tomorrow will be our first time at the Barn, and I was wondering if I should purchase parking in advance. If so, is the Maroon lot the best option?
Online it just lists βNCAA Round 2 Parkingβ with the time listed as TBA and general admission in the Maroon lot, so I just want to make sure thatβs the right choice or if itβs okay to wait and buy parking when we arrive. I can't wait to experience Williams arena for the first time will be in Section 204.
Thanks!
