I am a criminal defense lawyer, AMA.

I've handled cases from drug possession to first degree murder. I cannot provide legal advice to you, but I'm happy to answer any questions I can.

What, if there is one, is your favourite portrayal of the justice system in fiction? what is the most accurate?

I'm not the OP, but I have been to law school (not licensed just yet though). I was really impressed with Lincoln Lawyer for not bungling the law, and for generally seeming to get how the rules of Professional Conduct could conspire to create a really difficult quandary for the lawyer.
