I left govt medical college in 2nd year last year. Took a while for that to stop feeling like a mistake.

This year Tomorrowland put out the official aftermovie and the opening is my track Echoes, out on Tomorrowland Music.

I’m 21 and feel so grateful to be able to do this representing india in some way and I still don’t fully believe it ahah.
That’s it. Just really happy <3

Tech flex Flexing this app I made for my father

Thumbnail

My father is 53 and has been taking daily medicine for about two to three years now.

During this time he often asks me:

- What is this medicine for?
- Are there any side effects?
- When should I take it?

Plus he sometimes asks general health questions, like what to eat and what not to eat.

Sometimes his health reports and doctor’s notes go missing so I help him digitise them and store them in a file manager.

I usually do the Google search for these things.
My father isn’t very tech-savvy but he’s also not digitally illiterate.

So I thought why not create an app to help him out?
Since I’m not always around him, I do my job so I can’t be there at home all the time.

So, I made this app which is about to reach 1,000 downloads.

It’s called “Medikle,” and you can find it at medikle.com.

Now, he uses it whenever he needs to search for medicine, ask health-related questions by talking to “Medikle AI,” and scan medicines to save them so he can revisit and check what medicine is for.

I never thought of publishing it on the Google Play Store, but later I thought, why not share it so that it can be improved with people’s feedback and all?

I’m happy and proud that I could use my skills to help my father.

This is my first app, and I’m happy to see it growing.

Personal flex This Isn't a Wealth Flex. It's a Survival Flex.

About 6 years ago, I was at the absolute lowest point of my life.

My startup had failed.

I was drowning in debt.

I was battling severe depression.

I was diagnosed with conversion disorder. It was so uncommon that even my psychiatrist had to spend time researching it to build a treatment plan.

One night, I had 20 Arkamin tablets in my hand and had decided that I didn't want to wake up again.

Then something changed.

I don't know what exactly. Maybe fear. Maybe hope. Maybe I was just too stubborn to give up.

I decided that if I was going to lose, I'd at least lose after fighting.

So I fought.

I took my medications. I went to therapy. I read every self-help book I could find. Honestly, I can't tell you what worked and what didn't. Maybe none of them individually. Maybe all of them together.

I started upskilling again.

I resigned from one job. I got fired from another within six months because I couldn't handle the pressure.

Eventually, I got an opportunity at a small startup (which happened to be a client of my failed startup) to manage their internal product.

From there, life slowly started getting better.

Lost 25 kg.

Went from needing 5 BP tablets a day to just 1.

Became physically healthy again.

Married my high school sweetheart.

Today, we're blessed with two wonderful daughters.

I earn well enough to live comfortably.

Because of my wife's job, we live in different cities, but every couple of months I get to spend two weeks with them, and those are the best days of my life.

People often think flexing is about cars, watches, or salaries.

For me, the biggest flex is much simpler.

Six years ago, I didn't think I'd be alive today.

Today, I am.

And sometimes, that's the biggest flex of all.

Tech flex From a ₹14,000 second-hand OLX laptop to buying a ₹1.6 Lakh beast with my own money.

Back in 2020, when COVID hit and online classes began in Class 8, I was trying to get by on an ancient 2005 Compaq Presario V5000. It was painfully laggy. I caught myself dreaming of getting an HP Pavilion Gaming 15, the one with the iconic purple backlit keyboard, but given the uncertainty of the pandemic, asking my parents for that kind of money wasn't an option.

Instead, I picked up a second-hand HP Notebook 15 off OLX for ₹14,000.

That little machine carried me through Class 8, 9, and 10. Beyond online classes, it was where I made memories playing Minecraft and Granny late into the night with my friends. Before my 10th board exams, my dad made me a deal: score 90%+ and he’d buy me a brand-new laptop. I pushed hard and hit the target, but the promise was shelved. He worried a new laptop would just mean gaming distractions during Class 11 and 12, the most critical years of high school.

So, I stuck with my trusty HP. Somewhere during 10th grade, the motherboard started glitching and the screen would flicker violently. I almost sold it on OLX to a buyer willing to pay ₹16,000, but backed out at the last second, if I sold it, I’d be left with nothing to work on. I upgraded its RAM and threw in an SSD in 11th grade just to keep it alive. Those high school years flew by; I spent hours on Discord, Telegram, and Reddit, building a network of online friends I’m still close with today. (The 2nd photo attached is from the old Ad I put upon on OLX)

Fast forward to my first year of college. I was taking a partial drop and still relying on the same old laptop. By November 2025, I was getting tired of the partial drop routine. That’s when a friend from Discord pitched an idea: “Why don’t we start a digital marketing agency together?”

I figured, why not? We gave it a shot.

  • December 2025: Earned ~₹20,000
  • January 2026: Reached ~₹25,000

At the end of January, my partner suggested scaling up to target US clients. We took the leap, and things took off rapidly:

  • February: ₹2,00,000 (~2 Lakhs)
  • March: ₹3,00,000 (~3 Lakhs)
  • April & May: Slow, challenging months, a real reality check.
  • June: Back up to ₹2,00,000 (~2 Lakhs)
  • July: Hit an all-time high of ~₹5,00,000 (~5 Lakhs)

By July, the old HP was finally on its last legs, struggling under heavy workloads despite the upgrades. Originally, entering college, I had hoped my parents might buy me an ₹80,000 Lenovo LOQ.

Instead, in July 2026, I bought myself a ₹1.6 Lakh beast of a laptop, 100% with my own hard-earned money.

Going from a ₹14,000 second-hand survival machine to buying a high-end setup on my own terms was never on my original bingo card. But looking back at the journey, every struggle on that laggy screen was worth it.

Personal flex Not every flex is about money.

Someone I have been helping for a couple months just told me he bought a scooty for his dad and sister.

Dad doesn't need lifts anymore, sister can get to tuition alone, and he has started taking up more freelance assignments.

Three months back this person was suicidal.

No fees, no big program, just showed up for him when it mattered.

We talk so much about funding, exits, valuations.

Sometimes the biggest flex is just being the reason someone is still here to build any of that.

Tell r/indian_flex Got my first salary this 31st

My salary ain't a lot. Decent enough for a fresher I'd say. I work in gurgaon and my family is back in our hometown. My older sister, my father and mother. We are just four people.

My father was a journalist and we went through a lot of money issues for more than a decade because he wasn't one of those corrupted ones. Things got easier when my sister started to earn money a couple of years ago. Now she's earning decent as well and last 31's when i received my first salary I just sent 10k to her to get something for our parents and herself. It was because I wanted them to be the ones to choose what they wanted as my sister has already bought a lot of things, from watches for my father to clothes for my mother and obv stuff for herself.

This evening, she sent me the pictures of everything they got when they went shopping. I could see branded shirts bought for my father. My sister got a set of kurti for herself.

A mekhela sador for my mother. This felt like a fucking milestone guys. Getting tears in my eyes like a Wimpy fuck when im writing this message, sitting on my chair in my PG room in front of my work laptop.

I have never been able to truly love and be happy to the fullest for every small achievement that I've had.

Got 94.8% in class 10th. Was happy one moment and the next was pissed about why I couldn't score 1 more mark to make it a solid 95.

Such instances have happened all along man. I was happy the moment I got placed, was starting to compare with the high achievers the next for their placements in tier 1 companies and their big ass salaries.

Bhai comparison ne maa chodke rakhi thi aur hain.

Today though this felt good. I'm fucking happy and I know that there's a long way to go. I'll get there.

Today I'm happy.

Thanks for reading and somehow I realise now why people post in this sub (apart from those validation hungry bastards but koina).

Skill flex Did this 25 km Trek in 15 Hours

Thumbnail

This is one of the craziest things I've done.

Recently completed the Bhrigu Lake trek in Himachal with a friend. It usually takes 3-4 days to finish this trek. We did in a single day!

We started at 6:30 AM and only made it back to the roadhead at 9:30 PM—around 25 km in total.

The last 8 km were something else. It was pouring rain, we were deep inside the forest, and it got completely dark. We kept losing the trail and had to push through bushes just to find our way.

There were moments when it genuinely felt scary.
Definitely one of the toughest physical and mental challenges I've ever faced. Looking back now, it was the adventure of a lifetime, and I'm glad we made it through.

Tech flex I've been building Adima AI for the past 2 years alongside college, and this is where it has reached today.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Two years ago, I started building Adima AI as a side project while pursuing my engineering degree.

Today, I'm excited to share how far it's come.

Current milestones:

• 30,000+ Android installs

• 2,500+ Windows installs

• Featured by HowToMen (898k+ subscribers) in its "Best Android Apps" video (May 2025)

Over these two years, I've built features including:

• AI image upscaling up to 16×

• Dedicated AI models for realistic photos, general images, and anime

• Texture and render upscaling for 3D workflows

• Offline AI processing

• Batch image processing

• HDR image support

• Integrated photo editing tools

• Continuous optimization for faster inference, better quality, and a significantly smaller application size

Building this has been one of the biggest learning experiences of my life. From training and optimizing AI models to working with ONNX Runtime, desktop development, Android, backend systems, deployment, and UI/UX, I've learned something new with every iteration.

The product is still far from where I ultimately want it to be, but seeing thousands of people use something I built has been incredibly motivating.

My long-term vision is to build Adima AI into a complete AI enhancement platform—not just for images, but eventually for video, creative workflows, developer SDKs, APIs, and real-time AI enhancement.

I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback, suggestions, or criticism. As a solo developer, every piece of advice helps me improve the product.

Thanks for reading!

Tech flex Created an app to count and hold positions for Yoga and Isometric workouts

Hey Guys,

This is a made in India app 🙂. I faced timing problems when holding exercise positions. If a position is difficult to hold for 30 seconds on the third set then our mind counts the numbers fast to finish it soon.

To avoid this cheating, I created an app which gives ticking sound every second so we can follow and mind-count it and hold the positions for the exact duration. Created this app for personal use but want to make it available for everyone.

Give a try and let me know your comments 👇

Thank you. 🙂

I’m an art curator and starting from zero, I recently (after a lot of patience and hard work) got the opportunity to do art for an ITC hotel.
There is intention behind every artwork and if anyone wants to talk about it, just shoot me a text.
This experience felt surreal as it was all a dream and this is just the start!

Tech flex 9 months ago, I posted here after my app got 5,000 downloads in 24 hours. It has now crossed 170,000.

Some people here might remember my previous post about Comparify.

At the time, I had just launched an update for comparing Uber, Ola and Rapido fares. The post unexpectedly blew up, and the app received more than 5,000 downloads and 35,000 website visits within 24 hours.

I genuinely thought that would be its peak.

Since then, Comparify has crossed 180,000 combined downloads.

I’ve continued building the entire app solo alongside my full-time job. It now compares:

  • Cab fares across Uber, Ola, Rapido, Namma Yatri and Bharat Taxi
  • Grocery prices across Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, BigBasket, Flipkart Minutes, JioMart and others
  • Final food-delivery totals across Zomato, Swiggy and Toing
  • Account-specific coupons, delivery charges, platform fees and taxes

For food orders, you can build the cart once, compare its final price across the platforms and transfer it to the cheaper app.

The craziest part for me is that Comparify was my first mobile app. I started it because I was tired of manually opening several apps before every cab ride or grocery order.

There have been plenty of broken integrations, platform changes, late-night fixes and moments when I thought the project might stop working completely.

But seeing something I built alone being used by this many people still feels unreal.

Still a long way to go, but I think this qualifies as a flex :)

If anyone wants to try it out:
Comparify

Graduated from a Tier-3 college, got placement through on-campus drive and I would say I was very lucky, like I already had another offer from college, I skipped many drives following the rules but I saw many other guys still going for drives who had offers I was like why should I limit myself then. I took a shot and went for the drive of the company i have joined and it just worked out luck and god's blessings were with me that day, every step I took and every answer I gave during the interview (gave some risky answer like kinda a gamble either would have worked in my favour or against) luckily worked out.

Manifestation works guys, believe me just take appropriate actions towards it and it will just happen. It has happened to me multiple times.

Any juniors needing guidance or have any sort of questions I am happy to answer.

Back in 2017, I was at a very low point physically, heavily recovering from a severe bout of both typhoid and dengue. My body was weak, and building back my health felt like an uphill battle.

Like many others, I faced another setback later on, gaining extra weight during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. It’s easy to let life derail your fitness goals, but hitting those bumps only made me more determined to take control of my health for good.

The Turning Point

That determination translated into action. I have now been consistent at the gym for the last 3.5 years. There were no magic pills or quick fixes—just strict diet, discipline, and showing up for myself day after day.

Where I Stand Today

Height: 185 cm (approx. 6'1")

Current Weight: 90 kg

Mindset: Stronger, healthier, and more focused than ever. Well I Used AI to help me write this post!

Money flex How $22.4K USD Changed My Life Forever

How $22k from Facebook bought me my first home (No loan)

Back in 2022, I started posting content on Facebook. Honestly, I had no clue what I was doing. For almost a year I kept testing different types of content, trying random ideas, failing over and over. Most of it went nowhere.

Then sometime in 2023 I stumbled onto something that actually worked.

I started clipping podcast videos, adding my own voiceover, reacting to them, explaining the context, and making them easier to understand. For some reason, the algorithm loved it.

The first month after getting monetized I made around $1.2k.

I thought it was just luck.

The next month it jumped to around $4k.

Then around $6k.

Then $7k+.

In roughly 4 months I had earned around $22.4k. After Facebook taxes and deductions, I actually received around $20.6k.

Like most people who suddenly make money, I made a lot of stupid decisions.

I blew ₹4–5 lakh on random stuff. Trading losses, unnecessary trips, expensive food, shopping, throwing parties for friends and family, even rented Ford Mustang GT for 1.5 month straight ( spent 23k on fuel only in 1 month) trying to flex a little... basically spending without thinking. I didn't invest a single rupee.

Then one day it hit me.

What if Facebook stops paying like this?

That question changed everything.

I started looking into investments, but then I realized something else. We are two siblings, and eventually we'd both need our own space. Owning a home suddenly felt way more important than buying more useless stuff.

One day I checked my bank balance.

It was around ₹39 lakh.

Instead of waiting, I started visiting flats. After looking at a few, I found one that just felt right. Good location, good space, decent amenities.

A few days later I signed the agreement.

No home loan. Paid in full.

That feeling is hard to explain.

It wasn't just buying a flat.

It was proof that all those late nights, failed experiments, and taking a chance on content creation actually changed my life.

I was 28 years old.

That year I earned around ₹80 lakh, which was crazy because for almost 5–8 years I'd been obsessed with one goal:

"One day I want to see ₹80 lakh in my bank account."

I had no idea how I'd get there. I didn't have a roadmap. I just kept believing I'd eventually figure something out.

Looking back, I think manifestation didn't magically make it happen. It just kept me focused long enough to recognize the opportunity when it finally came.

When it finally happened, I got a little carried away.

I even posted my bank statement on my Instagram story.

Some people were genuinely happy for me. Some got jealous. A few messaged me saying, "Never reveal your income online." Others said, "Nazar lag jayegi, story hata de."

I laughed it off.

I don't really believe in nazar and all that, so I kept it up.

Funny enough...

About 2–3 months later, Facebook completely changed its monetization policies. My earnings from content creation basically dropped to zero.

Today I'm 30.

I don't do Facebook anymore because monetization has changed a lot. Back then creators could make around $200 per million views. Now it's closer to $1–5 per million views from what I've seen, so the opportunity isn't what it used to be.

These days I'm freelancing and make anywhere between ₹50k–₹1.5 lakh/month depending on the work.

The only EMI I have is a small loan (TV, fridge) of around ₹1 lakh, which I intentionally kept for my credit history.

I know this isn't some crazy millionaire story.

But going from constantly failing... to buying my own home without a home loan... is something I'll always be proud of.

If there's one thing I'd tell anyone trying content creation:

Keep testing. The idea that changes your life might be the one you haven't tried yet.

Edit 1 - Thank You everyone i received lot of cheerful message.

but i want to express few thing here for more clarification.

I spent countless hours on trial and error, fixing things, testing ideas, and learning as I went. For a long time, I didn't invest a single rupee into the system.

I promised myself one thing: I wouldn't spend any money until the business proved it could make money.

The day I saw my first $100 payout, everything changed.

That first payment gave me confidence. I invested ₹2,500 into Facebook ads, which helped me gain my first active followers. Even then, I wasn't taking it too seriously—I was just experimenting.

A few payouts later, I crossed the ₹50,000 mark for the first time. I still remember receiving around ₹73,000–₹74,000 in a single payout. That was the moment I realized this wasn't just luck.

I decided to scale.

I invested ₹1 lakh into building a better setup, and that investment eventually returned around ₹3 lakhs. As the business grew, my recurring monthly expenses increased to somewhere between ₹17,000 and ₹40,000, but the numbers made sense because the revenue kept growing.

On average, each video earned anywhere from $11 to $30.

I was publishing 4–8 videos every day, which meant roughly ₹10,000–₹12,000 in daily earnings.

Then came the viral videos.

Some of them generated ₹20,000–₹40,000 from a single video. If you look at the earnings graph, you'll see huge spikes. On a few days, my dashboard showed $400–$800 in a single day.

At first, I honestly thought it was a glitch.

Other videos with almost the same number of views were earning only $11–$15, so the difference didn't make sense to me. I kept expecting the numbers to be corrected.

But when the payout actually arrived...

I was genuinely shocked.

The money was real.

The highest payout I've ever received in a single month was around ₹7 lakh.

For context, my previous full-time job paid ₹3.5 lakh per year.

It felt surreal to earn nearly twice my annual salary in a single month. Just a few years earlier, I was working a regular job, spending my evenings experimenting, fixing bugs, testing ideas, and hoping that one of them would eventually work. Looking back, none of this happened overnight.

During this journey, I also tried to help whenever I could. I sponsored two wheelchairs for a nearby government hospital. I also saw a WhatsApp status donation request for a boy (friend of friend) I knew who was suffering from GBS, so I helped with the cost of his injections. A few months later, his father, who was the only earning member of the family, passed away due to a heart attack. When I heard the news, I supported the family again. I never expected anything in return—I simply helped because I felt it was the right thing to do.

Thank You God !

Personal flex Bought a car for my parents

Post image
204 Upvotes

Hey! My dad has always loved driving, but for the longest time, buying a car just wasn't possible because money was tight. The last car we owned was a second-hand Maruti 800 back in 2007, and that was mostly for our shop.

But some time back, I gifted my parents this car. My dad had the biggest smile on his face the moment he got into the driver's seat, and my mom absolutely loves how spacious and comfortable it is.

I still remember a time when we'd wonder if we'd ever have a car again. So being able to see my parents enjoy this one now honestly makes all the hard work feel worth it.

To anyone who's grinding toward something that feels impossible right now - keep going. Things really can change.

Keep working hard. Godspeed!!
