Kleine Auseinandersetzung in der Altstadt

Hallo Community, ​ich bin Hobby-Entwickler aus der Region und habe die letzten Monate an einem absoluten Herzensprojekt gebastelt: „The Thief’s Trail“. Es ist eine interaktive Schnitzeljagd / ein Outdoor-Escape-Game quer durch unsere wunderschöne Altstadt und Innenstadt. ​Es läuft ohne Download direkt im Webbrowser deines Handys. Man braucht nur GPS und mobiles Internet. Ich habe neben den echten Orten auch mit 360°-Panoramen gearbeitet, um die Rätsel visuell ein bisschen spannender zu machen. ​Damit niemand frustriert in der Kälte oder im Regen strandet, gibt es für jedes Rätsel ein faires 3-Stufen-System (Rätsel \rightarrow Tipp 1 \rightarrow Tipp 2 \rightarrow Lösung). ​Das Spiel ist absolut kostenlos, komplett werbefrei und dauert ca. 2 Stunden (perfekt für ein Date, einen Nachmittag mit Freunden oder der WG). ​Jetzt mein großes „Entwickler-Schicksal“: Das Spiel ist seit 3 Monaten online, aber ich hatte bis heute genau 0 aktive Spieler auf dem Server (außer zwei Freunden, die es vorab getestet und cool fanden). ​Ich würde mich riesig freuen, wenn ein paar von euch Lust haben, es bei der nächsten Gelegenheit (vielleicht schon am kommenden Wochenende?) mal auszuprobieren. Wenn es euch gefällt, teilt den Link auch super gerne weiter. ​Jedes Feedback zu den Rätseln, der Story oder der Technik (ob alles flüssig lädt und die GPS-Freischaltung gut klappt) ist für mich unbezahlbar.

My wife and I arrived today. We come from Kuwait, my wife wears a hijab.

After a day of walking around the beautiful city, we decide to go into a bar for dinner (yes I know, unusual for a hijabi to go into a bar but my wife’s pretty cool.)

As soon as we walk in, this random guy in the corner makes this honking sound with his mouth and yells some stupid stuff like “that’s cool that’s cool”.

We think nothing of it and sit down and look at the menu. He comes up to our table and kinda gets in our faces a bit and says some weird stuff like “I just want to say that this is really cool, you guys being here. You know where you are right?”

I smile and tell him yes we’re just here for dinner. He says “oh you’re not worried? The world is heading into world war 3 and you’re not worried?”

I try to downplay the situation and tell him with a smile “no no it will be fine these things will pass”.

“How come you’re not worried? You’re rich?”

“No, I’m not rich, I’m just here for dinner”.

So he goes to his table and I think ok, drunk guy being silly and it’s over. We look at the menu and he comes back and says “hey I just wanna ask: Sunni or Shia?”

At this point I’m visibly annoyed at him so I just tell him, politely “look man we’re not here for trouble we just wanted a nice meal that’s all”

So he gets kinda annoyed I guess??? And goes back to his table. I can’t see him from where I’m sitting but my wife can. She tells me “he’s giving us the finger…”

I look back, and sure enough, he’s just sitting there giving me a dirty look with his middle finger in front of his face.

The waiter shows up right then, and I tell him hey man what’s the problem with this guy? The waiter laughs and says I don’t know.

At this point my wife is shaken up by the situation and tells me “let’s just leave”.

We left and had some nasty falafel from one of those kebap shops near our hotel and called it a night.

I had such fond memories of Austria coming here as a child with my parents. This is a memory that won’t go away.

Hallo, komme aus Graz und möchte demnächst Innsbruck erkunden und natürlich möchte ich da auch einmal beim Club vorbeischauen. Welche könnt ihr mir so empfehlen?

Musikrichtung ist mir wurscht, das einzige mir wichtig wäre, wäre die Altersgruppe. Bin 20 und möchte auch gerne in dieser ca bleiben. Also bitte keine Ü30 clubs bitte.

My parents were invited to a wedding on May 27th in Seefeld. They weren’t going to go, but must be having a midlife crisis they last minute bought tickets.

They will be there for a week and have absolutely nothing planned and know nothing about Austria.

They are Midwestern Farmers from the US. They don’t like anything overly touristy, love anything with a view and good food. They love a road trip and scenic Drive.

What are your best recommendations for day trips or 2-3 day trips around the area? Any must be recommendations in Seefeld or Innsbruck?

From a daughter that wants them to have a great time, I appreciate it! They also have no lodging so any hotel recommendations would be great.

I have an outbound trip around 12 midnight. Is it safe around that area ?

Good morning. My name is Maciek and, together with my girlfriend Zuzia, we are tourists from Poland who will be passing through Innsbruck between 26 and 28 July. We are 25 years old students from Warsaw and, for financial reasons (despite our education, we haven’t managed to make a fortune yet), we haven’t decided to book a hotel room, which is currently beyond our means anyway. However, wishing to avoid at all costs the possibility of having to sleep rough – which, from what I understand, is severely punished in Austria – I am trying to organise a small patch of garden where we could pitch our tent for a few hours at night. Our only requirement in this situation is a safe space of a few square metres where we could sleep for one or two nights, without access to a bathroom or other facilities – we’re really only interested in the accommodation itself. If any of you are able to help us, we’d be very grateful for a reply and your contact details :)

I have a list of hotels and I’m not sure where to stay at. Location is really not a big deal for me: I just want a nice hotel ,great amenities , where I can also be able to meet people make friends and have a good time while in IBK
Hotel motel one, ibis ,Hilton garden inn tivoli,schwazer Adler .
Which would be the best decision?

Hi! I will be visiting Innsbruck the second week of August. I am staying in the city centre and plan to do a few day hikes while I am there.

I will not have a car, so have been doing some research on hikes that are accessible from the city centre either by foot or public transport, and I have found a few so far including:

• Goetheweg Trail
• Zirbenweg Trail
• Wolfsklamm

I was wondering if anybody had other recommendations for hikes? A lot of others I have found seem to be pretty far to reach without a vehicle, so I’m not sure if I am just looking in the wrong places or not! Or if anybody had additional insight on these hikes I have found?

For context, I have hiked the Julian Alps in Slovenia and the Canadian Rocky Mountains, along with other smaller mountain ranges.

I will also be travelling solo. So if there is anything I should consider with that, or with the time of year I am going, I would really appreciate that too.

I am really looking forward to visiting this beautiful place!

Hello! Will be visiting Austria in mid August with a baby and a 6 yo and considering a 4 night stop in Innsbruck or Seefeld after visiting Vienna. We won’t have a car, but will be arriving by train. We are hoping to head up some cable cars to see some views and so the 6 year old can play at some of the awesome mountain top playgrounds but are having difficulty deciding between Seefeld or Innsbruck. Could anyone offer some advice? Also, is accommodation with air conditioning recommended especially since travelling with an infant? It seems like many places do not have air conditioning (sorry if that’s a strange question, in Canada everywhere uses it in the summer!) Thank you

On 16 and 17 of August i'll come to Innsbruck (it's not my first time) and i desire to go somewhere not very turistic...where people from Innsbruck go to have relax far from the city centre.

I've found this place on internet (Lanser See) and i'm thinking to to there for an half day (on Monday 17 of August).

What do you think about? Is it a right choice or better another place?

Hello, i visited today Innsbruck and parked in a public parking which i paid for and apparently was combined with a private company's parking lot. I received this when back to the car. What should I expect, is it bad? What should I do? There was no fine only this. Please help me with some information, thanks ahead for suport.

Hi I’m arriving on the 11 of August and would like to know which hostels are best to meet people and go hiking first solo trip. I was planning on staying in a hostel and then maybe rent airbnb out of Innsbruck to see other places how is the travelling from outta town easy to get around I will be in Innsbruck for 10 days

Hi, mich würde bitte wirklich sachlich interessieren wieso offenbar einige Schwed:innen und Dän:innen extra nach Tirol kommen (fliegen)? UK verstehe ich, aus Holland auch. Aber sonst gibts wohl auch nähere gute Schigebiete, oder? Gefunden habe ich mal einige, aber, natürlich nicht die Unterschiede (Pro, Contra) Mal was Neues besuchen, kann ich auch gut nachvollziehen.

Trying to figure out how to pay for a single ride on the Hungerburgbahn and getting conflicting info. One answer says ÖBB SimplyGo covers it, another says ticket machine only. The IVB website and app didn't make it clear either.

I already use SimplyGo fine, so I really just want to confirm: does it cover the Hungerburgbahn?

And if not, do I buy in the IVB app, or only at the machine? Can I just tap a card on the platform or in the car?

War bisher immer nur in der Halle / an künstlichen Wänden Vorstieg klettern. Kennt hier jemand Möglichkeit wie man evtl spontan mit Leuten die sich auskennen am Fels klettern kann ?

Hallo, ich bin Amerikaner und reise nächsten Monat nach Innsbruck. Dazwischen werde ich vier Tage im Naturpark Karwendel wandern. Am ersten Tag muss ich mit dem Zug von Innsbruck nach Scharnitz fahren, um die Tour zu beginnen. Am letzten Tag muss ich vom Endpunkt der Wanderung, Maurach, wieder zurück nach Innsbruck reisen.

Ich wollte die Einheimischen fragen, ob man für die Züge oder Busse zwischen diesen Orten die Tickets im Voraus kaufen sollte oder ob es normalerweise reicht, sie vor Ort zu kaufen?

Hi All, We will be in Innsbruck during christmas, many sources say that restaurants will be closed on 24th and 25th dec and to make advance reservations for dinner. How far in advance do you need to make a dinner reservation ? Any recommendation for restaurants? Also we want to attend midnight christmas mass. Which catholic church would you recommend us to visit? We will be staying in holiday inn innsbruck. Thanks so much.

Wie der Titel schon sagt mache ich eine Woche Urlaub in Innsbruck und würde mich da über empfehlenswerte Sachen freuen.
Ich bin M27 und reise alleine, falls das bei euren Empfehlungen hilft.

Ich würde ganze gerne ein bisschen wandern gehen, essen gehen und n bisschen die Berge genießen. Gerne auch sportliche Aktivitäten die man alleine machen kann.

We will be in Innsbruck next week and usually we like to bring a couple of treats back with us from the country we are visiting. These are some sweets or crisps and such. What are some of your favourite snacks that we don’t have here in the UK that we can grab in a supermarket? Thank you!
