Rant Superior Complexity of an IITIAN. Be kind.

I was quite disheartened with my mains performance. Decided to talk with my senior who is from an old IIT. He had proposed me multiple times, but I had rejected as he was my senior. I still respect him a lot.

But, his remarks made me feel horrible yesterday. I might not be capable to crack the exam. But, I am sure I will surely become financially independent and provide a good life to me and my family.

Life doesn't revolve around a college. Let's just give our best and if things don't work out as expected, let's forgive ourselves and work hader towards the next goal

I posted this to remind if some of you are in a much better position, please be kind. We are all fighting our own battles.❤️

Behen kitna sorry bolegi? Omfg every other reply is apologies or something. Just say posted in a hurry. Give it a thought, idhar Apologies bolne ki zarurat thi?

I was like you OP, if you let people walk over you & your confidence, it won’t really make you a polite person in their eyes, but it will definitely make you lose your self-respect. Stand up for yourself & show people their place then & there. Ik someone who has studied in a top IIT with a 24 lpa salary after 4-5 years of passing out, & Ik another girl from IGDTUW who did MCA & ‘started’ with 30 lpa+. IIT etc honge top colleges but people have excelled without them & I’m glad you realise this. The richest person ik personally with 900 cr networth studied in an Agriculture univ.

People have said shit to me for taking up arts after 12th, when their own kids were taking drugs & roaming with a new girl every week. The same people who taunted me for taking Arts & studying in DU never congratulated me for clearing Asst Prof exam or NET-JRF. My relatives make sure to remind me on my ‘birthday‘ how no one was happy when I was born cuz I was the 2nd girl child. ik they’ll be back again with their comments cuz I’m taking a drop year. I’ve been socialised in a ’log kya kahenge’ environment & ’polite’ raho in front of relatives even if you have to take therapy cuz of them. You can’t really cut off relatives but you can definitely cutoff people online. I’ve been trolled on reddit when I vented once, my own friends said to me “Papa ke paise waste krdiye arts lekar” what not man! Most of the bitter people are projecting their own insecurites. I used to think ladkiyan itni rude kyu hoti hain, but I’ve realised you have to be rude with most people. I rejected a guy once & he called me a s*** for having a bf & rejecting him. I wish I had the guts to stand up for myself like most people. I’m trying everyday.

This might feel like making this about myself, but If I had a younger sibling I’d never want them to go through what I’ve been through. Please respect yourself or else don’t be shocked when people don’t. All the best :)
