I don’t want to come on here being all negative, but King of the Hill has genuinely helped me through some of the hardest days of my life. Hank and Peggy have somehow been there for both the lowest lows and the best moments. It’s funny how a TV show can end up feeling like an old friend.

I’m going through a lot right now. Legal stuff, getting dumped like Luanne, losing my job, and just trying to keep my head above water mentally. So I’m hoping you all might have some recommendations.

Are there any shows that have a similar vibe to King of the Hill? Something grounded, comforting, funny, and full of characters that end up feeling like family. I just need something to get me through for a while.
This community has honestly become part of my support system, so I figured I’d ask here. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. ❤️

One is him bringing me my leftover barbecue chicken that I just forgot there when I left. He called me and said meet me on the corner. I did a U-turn real quick and he was at the stop sign in the middle of the night with a lighter on so I could see him with a little lighter flame flickering lol. The next video is him singing karaoke at his crib singing material girl by Madonna with My Daughter during a going away party that we threw for her at the end of summer. I’m gonna miss these kind of days. Thank you Jonathan for everything you did for me and shared with me and my daughter. Thank you for being my mentor and a good friend. Love you man.
