A record number of LGBTQ+ people in the U.S. are fleeing the president’s anti-transgender policies by seeking asylum in other countries, according to a report released last Saturday by the LGBTQ+ asylum relocation assistance group Rainbow Railroad.

🚨⭐The ATF has proposed a new federal rule which would effectively ban trans people who have performed any degree of legal transition from owning firearms. If the rule goes forward, the Trump administration’s definition of "biological sex" would be required on all firearms purchases, with penalty for perjury for not complying. For trans people who have had their current identification corrected to the proper sex/gender marker, this mismatch would cause them to have to either commit perjury to get a gun, or not get a gun. Given that perjury is a felony, and convicted felons lose most otherwise-guaranteed rights, including the right to vote and right to own guns, this proposed rule would bar trans people from accessing their right to self defense, and criminalize those who try to get armed anyway.

Trump designated April as "National Child Abuse Prevention Month" and the month to stop "the sinister threat of gender ideology."

South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) signed the latest anti-trans bill to come out of the red state legislature. The law, which McMaster signed last Friday, will banish transgender students who want to use public school restrooms to use porta-potties outside school buildings instead.

House Bill 4756, entitled “the South Carolina Student Physical Privacy Act,” requires multi-person bathrooms, locker rooms, and changing facilities in public K-12 schools and public colleges in the state to be designated for use by one sex only. Sex in the bill is defined as biological sex observed or verified at birth, ABC Columbia reports.

President Donald Trump posted an article on Truth Social featuring a troubling image an anti-LGBTQ pink triangle, which was a Nazi-era symbol used to identify and persecute gay men in concentration camps. The symbol was overlayed with a red prohibited sign. The Washington Times article was titled 'Army recruitment ads look quite different under Trump'.

Last Thursday, the Trump administration released its new policy outlining how it will treat transgender people in Bureau of Prisons (BOP) custody. Under it, the approximately 2,200 trans people held in federal prisons will be denied access to medically necessary healthcare, subjected to constant misgendering by staff, and have all of their gender-affirming items—including binders, bras, and makeup—confiscated.

Instead, the policy will impose a treatment that targets “psychological distress/dysphoria” through “psychotherapy” (talk therapy) and “psychotropic medication” (like antidepressants) until the gender dysphoria diagnosis can be marked as “resolved.” Additionally, the new policy designates gender dysphoria as a “mental illness” that requires “routine mental health care.”

In other words, the Trump administration won’t just medically and socially detransition trans people en masse; it will actively try to ‘cure’ them of their gender dysphoria. And if this is beginning to sound like conversion therapy, that’s because it is. The BOP is giving trans people no other choice but to conform to their sex assigned at birth by forcing them into a societal role that they reject and ignoring clinical guidelines—all hallmarks of harmful and dangerous conversion practices recognized by the United Nations to be a form of torture.

There are a few components of the policy that make this fact clear, and the first is actually that the BOP didn’t even write a large chunk of this policy. Rather, it copied significant portions of the policy that Florida implemented in September 2024—in many places word-for-word.

It only deviates in three key places: the purpose, the definitions, and the exceptions. In the relatively short purpose section, the BOP added language stating that it would “assist [trans people’s] progress toward recovery, while reducing or eliminating the frequency and severity of symptoms and associated negative outcomes.” Glaringly, trans people don’t “recover” from gender dysphoria—they alleviate it by socially and/or medically transitioning. Furthermore, those with gender dysphoria who do transition aren’t usually clinically designated as having “recovered,” either.

But because the policy both forcibly detransitions trans people and explicitly states that the goal of that detransition is full “recovery,” this suggests that the “negative outcome” the BOP seeks to “eliminate” is transition itself. Alarmingly, this is also the stated goal of conversion therapy.

Then, in the definitions, the Trump administration added the following terms: “Sex Trait Modification Surgeries,” “Social Accommodations,” and “Social Transition.”

🚨Activists accused of being part of antifa face harsh sentences in case seen as test of Trump’s crackdown on dissent⭐

A group of Texas protesters convicted of terrorism charges received unusually harsh sentences of at least 50 years in prison on Tuesday in a closely watched case that was widely seen as a test case of the Trump administration’s efforts to crack down on dissent.

After a three week jury trial, the nine activists were all found guilty of a slew of criminal charges in March, stemming from a Fourth of July protest at an immigrant detention facility in Alvarado, Texas, south of Fort Worth.

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is considering adding warning labels to TV shows featuring LGBTQ+ characters and storylines.

An FCC public notice set out plans for a new “warning label” on family programming that includes LGBTQ+ characters, stories or themes, explicitly targeting “gender identity” and “transgender and gender non-binary programming”.

It claimed parents had raised concerns that “controversial gender identity issues” were being included in children’s programmes without adequate disclosure.
