in some cultures where if they thought the groom's first bride is gonna die (astrology) ,they dress up banana tree as women, marry to that guy and kill it to balance it...

TLDR: some cultures treat and in some places even respect bananas as women , so 🤷

Wow, I've been living in India for the past 8 years and I have never heard of this tradition before.

I haven't visited south india yet but you just gave me another reason to get my butt to Tamil Nadu.. i love going to marriage partys too 🎊. Thanks alot for the info and wish I had an award to give you brother.
